johnny sighed as he watched mark and donghyuck chat and laugh together. he's been staring at them for quite a while now, and if anyone were to see him, they'd think he's some sort of creep. due to him getting distracted, he completely forgot that he's meant to be meeting up with them, and quickly walked over.
they both looked up when the older came over and smiled at him. they told him so sit down besides them, and he did. he was confused by why they suddenly asked if he could meet up with them, but still agreed.
"so... what did you two want to tell me?" johnny asked the two, and they both glanced at each other before looking back to johnny.
"uhm, so like, basically..." mark started but trailed off, not really knowing what to say. he turned his head to look at the youngest of the three.
"we're in a relationship," donghyuck blurted out. he wanted to just get it over with and tell him, since it was pointless to hesitate and stall over it. "as in boyfriends."
johnny was shocked. wait no, he was way beyond shocked. he has no idea what to say at this point. when he was asked by them to meet up, this was definitely not what he expected to happen. he wasn't sure what he did expect, but it wasn't this.
"you're... boyfriends?" johnny asked. even though he had heard very clearly that they had said that, for some reason he still asked, hoping that somehow it wasn't true.
"yeah..." mark and donghyuck said at the same time. the two shared a nervous glance, before mark spoke once again. "you're okay with it, right?"
at hearing that question, johnny quickly looked up at them and showed them a fake, but surprisingly convincing smile. "of course i am! i'm happy for you two, you're super cute together."
the two were visibly relieved at his response and smiled back at him. "thank god! i was so worried you'd be like upset or mad about it for some reason," donghyuck said with a sigh and mark nodded.
"well, don't worry. i'm completely fine with it, i'm so happy for you both!" johnny reassured them, letting out another forced smile. "anyway, i have to get going. i'll see you two later."
"oh, okay! see you later, hyung!" donghyuck said.
"bye, hyung!" mark said after, smiling.
once he heard their goodbyes, he quickly stood up and walked away. he wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, not wanting the two to find out.
