Just a heads up: I've got working titles for the names of chapters in Chamber of Secrets but there's two I'll confirm now: Revelations 4:20 will be the unsurprising reveal of parentage, and Revelations 6:9 will be for Shade and the Founder's Prophecy.
Y/N POV
It was soon time for the winter Holidays. I was staying at Hogwarts, as Grandpa needed to visit the ICW regarding some position. (A/N: There's not a lot of lore for the ICW in canon, so I'm creating my own for it).
"I do feel so sorry for those who have to stay here because they aren't wanted at home." Draco sneered, with Tweedleidiot and Tweedlemoron guffawing at it. Much like the laughed when he said that a frog would replace Harry. The person who helped beat Slytherin. While fighting his broom and, potentially, Quirrell. I didn't know if he was possessed or not, but I didn't care either.
"You're not wanted at home or here, so I assume you'll finally return to the zoo you broke out of Draco. That'll be like getting coal, only to realize that it's much more annoying. And is more dung than ferret." I smiled, earning the laughter of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. The Ravenclaws were just snickering while Draco tried to come up with a response.
"You should close your mouths before you catch flies" Hermione grinned, making laughter roar throughout the Great Hall again. The four of us left, hearing Draco whine more about getting his dad involved.
Which reminds me. I should ask grandpa if he's met Lucius.
After doing more research on the He Who Couldn't Beat A Baby, I discovered that the Malfoy family returned to the Ministry's side pretty darn quick. Or, to be more truthful, it was Lucius who returned. Nothing about his wife being involved.
"I'll be back down in a minute" Hermione said sadly, but I knew that it was because she would be returning home for the Holidays. Not that she was upset about that because she wasn't. She's going to be the only one of us to do that. But my mind was put to ease by Seamus and Dean offering to make sure nobody messed with her.
"Y/N, would you help me to the train tomorrow?" She asked me softly. I just nodded. It would be a long two weeks before I'd get to see her again.
We. We would see her. I can't exactly waste time with a schoolboy crush, even if she was extremely cute. Dad had sent a letter via the Floo network stating that should all go well, they'll be able to see a few properties here in Jolly old England during the summer.
That said, when I went to bed, I was extremely upset that my best friend was going to be away for the next couple of weeks.
Nightmare
A house laid upon the hill, with the shutters closed. The lawn was growing at a rapid pace as screams echoed from within the building.
"Bella" a voice called. It seemed to magnify the coldness within the darkened house. "Are you enjoying yourself?"
"Yes master." Came an equally cold voice. "This poor Mudblood, however, seems to be spitting in the face of your generosity." The wailing of a child broke the two from their taunting.
"You should consider yourself lucky. Bella, make it quick."
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" The body hit the ground with a loud thud, while the two survivors walked into a well lit room. Inside it was a child. A child born to two parents who couldn't love. He inherited the dark eyes from his mother and black hair from both sides.
Or, more accurately, he looked human like his mother. His father had pale skin, two slits for nostrils like a snake, and red eyes that caused immense fear to tear through the child.
