The more you speak with Kyle, the more you come to enjoy his presence and company. He's a bit of a know-it-all, but it's nothing you can't handle. No one is perfect, after all. Besides, he's smart and kind and is genuinely trying to help you out with fitting in. There's really not much else you can ask for from someone. He talks to you in such a way that makes you feel equal, like he's not talking down to you... it's something you haven't had the experience of quite often. But you could definitely get used to this.
His plan is simple enough. Tomorrow night, he and his closest friends are going to be hanging out and playing video games at his house. Before anyone gets there, you'll be there to help him prepare the get-together (you offered). He'll introduce you to his friends and they can take some pictures for Coonstagram and post them. When you told him that you didn't know what that was, he said that he'd help you with making your account as well.
You're excited. You haven't had a get-together with some kids your age in a very long time. It looks like you have something to look forward to after your training at Pinku Cat Cafe...!
The next day comes by rather quickly. When you wake up, you instantly hop out of bed like you've just heard great news. You stretch your arms above your head with a yawn, cracking your bones in the process. You've never been so happy to wake up and get the day started before, so this is all very new to you. New, but not bad.
After you take a shower and dry yourself off, you're quick to get dressed. You decide to pick out a short-sleeved shirt that has an embroidered peach on the breast and some loose jeans that are rolled on the bottom. It's cute, but also practical. You smooth the collar down gently. Should you wear makeup? You do want to make a good first impression with your coworkers and your new friend (and his friends.)
You opt for a mostly natural look, with some light mascara and a lip shade that's a bit darker than the one you have naturally. You put on a bit of blush on the apples of your cheeks and peer in the mirror. You smile a bit. You think you look pretty cute for your day today!
You walk down your stairs, peeking around to see where your mother is. The more steps you go down, the more you hear her voice. She seems to be on the phone with the cable company. "I'm going to training," you call out, to which she perks up and looks at you. She mouths the words 'be careful,' to you, to which you nod and give her a thumbs up. You waste no time in leaving.
You arrive at the cafe and you stand in awe of its beauty. It looks so amazing, even from the outside. The sign perched upon the roof is beautifully pink and covered in LED lights. It looks so... professional! You can't wait to go inside, so you text Lisa that you're here.
"Good morning!" She chirps as she opens the door for you, a pleasant smile on her face. You find yourself grinning right back at her. You nearly shit yourself at the interior of this place. The pictures really didn't do it much justice at all!
While you look around, wide-eyed, you find yourself in the presence of two other girls. One of them has pink glasses and a bob-cut, a little white bow on the side of her head, and the other has brown hair that reaches the large of her back. She has a pink bow more on the top of her head. "(Y/n), these are my friends, Kelly and Heather!"
You feel a little hot. You're still getting used to meeting new people, and these girls are so cute too... You offer them a shy smile and a wave. "H-Hi... it's nice to meet you..."
Kelly and Heather lean towards one another and begin to speak in not-so-quiet voices. "Hey hey, Heather. Lisa was totally right about her being cute."
"Hey hey, Kelly. I'd love to see her in the uniform. I think she'll be popular."
You find yourself melting in the mere presence of these girls. You had no idea that Lisa would be talking about you to them like that... let alone them calling you cute! Don't they know that they're the cutest ones in this room? You pout your lips a bit-- this is so unfair! You walk over to the booth they're at and prepare to sit down.
