"Butters, thanks for coming on such short notice!" You greet the boy when he's close enough. His smile almost blinds you from how bright it is!
"Heya, (Y/n)!" He grins at you, pressing his knuckles together. You don't know why he does that, but you decide not to ask. Maybe it's just a little tic or something that he has. Or maybe it's a nervous habit? You're not sure. "Is there a particular reason you wanted me to meet you here?"
"Well, I have a surprise for you!"
"Oh!" He blinks and looks away, blushing nervously as he rubs the back of his neck. "You're not going to put a blindfold on me and tell me to open my mouth, are you?" He asks.
"W-What? No, no, I would never do that!" You stammer, shaking your head. Who does he think you are, to be so cruel and to do something like that? Maybe he's just... been through a lot. "All you have to do is close your eyes real quick!"
He nods at what you say and shuts his eyes, but seems skeptical of what you've been doing. You motion for Bradley to come forward. "Okay, there we go... You can open your eyes now!"
Butters opens his eyes slowly and stares at Bradley for a couple of seconds like he's processing the whole situation. Bradley stares right back at him, shaking so much that you would think that he would freeze to death.
"Bradley! Oh my God, it's been forever!" He finally exclaims before jumping right into the other boy's arms. He wraps his arms around him, hugging him close. "Did they finally let you out?!"
"W-Well..." Bradley trails off, not exactly sure how to respond to the question. "I guess I can say that, yeah... Um." He hugs the boy back, his face flushing pink. "Are you still... 'confused'?"
"You know more than anyone that I was never confused in the first place," he chuckles, looking as happy as ever. "If you're asking if I maintained my 'bi-curiosity', then I should tell you that I am actually a bisexual guy. Don't tell my parents though!"
There's a sparkle in the both of their eyes that makes your heart melt. It makes you so happy that you were able to bring these two friends together again. You just hope that this day keeps on going well. You watch as they walk off together deeper into the park and smile before turning on your heel and going your separate ways.
Your phone goes off in your hand and you hum, looking at who has decided to text you.
Kyle: Hey, (Y/n). I wanted to know if you want to hang out with me.
You: Aw, you missed me after not seeing me yesterday? ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡
Kyle: Maybe. How does Red Lobster sound? I'll pay.
You: That's sweet, Kyle, but I can pay for my half! This isn't the 50's anymore!
Kyle: You'll have to rip the tab out of my cold, dead hands.
You: Challenge accepted, honey~ (。•̀ᴗ-)✧
Kyle: Stop teasing me. I'll be there soon.
You giggle at his response and put away your phone. It makes you happy to know that he likes you enough to want to hang out by yourselves... you don't know what brought this on, but you're quite honored by it. You made sure to text your mother about this whole situation. You couldn't help but laugh when she texted back, "The Jewish boy? He's cute!"
You're glad that you've decided to wear something a bit more formal today— you had no idea that he would be asking you out on a friend-date, but what luck! The dress you're wearing is a bit more form-fitting than your other clothes, accentuating some of your curves. It's cute, but appropriate for the occasion.
