You wake up sore and still recovering from last night. You rub your head with a sigh, swinging your legs to the side of your bed so you can get up. You pluck your phone off of the charger and begin to go through your notifications as usual. It seems that 'Losers and Co' is more active than it is usually.

Butters: Did everyone hear about the new hero?

Oh, shit. Word really does travel quickly. Now you have to act like you don't know who this 'new hero' is, you know, like a liar.

You: There's another one?

Kyle: southparknews.com/chad-garthunk-threatened-by-new-hero-123909873

Kyle: This article explains everything.

You can't even bring yourself to click on it. He probably was spouting some bullshit about you threatening his life without any reason to. Obviously, a man like him would leave out the details of having some woman there when his wife is completely missing. Totally inappropriate of a man who is supposedly very concerned for her. It's ridiculous.

Clyde: I wonder if she's cute 😉

Kenny: I love the kind of woman that can kick my ass

Jimmy: He's lying in this whole article guys

Token: Yeah, it's saying that she beat him badly, but the pictures provided show that he's not even bleeding or bruised.

Tweek: it's to be expe cted from a man who d oesn't even care about his wife b eing missin g,

You knew it. You knew that the bastard would try to manipulate the situation so everyone would feel sorry for him. He's making himself the victim. Frustrated, you throw your covers off and stomp downstairs.

Oh, and of course your mom isn't home. She said that she was going to spend the night, which was already stupid in your opinion, but now she's probably going to spend the whole day with him too. She was the last person you expected this from. Now if it was you, she'd give you hell in a handbasket. Hypocrite.

Mumbling bitterly to yourself, you go into your pantry and grab the bread. You toss it onto the counter, your face and upper body feeling awfully hot from how annoyed you are.

"Fuckin' ridiculous, you're a grown woman not a teenager anymore. But god forbid I do anything like that," you rant under your breath, though no one is there to hear you.

You really need to calm down, though. You have work today and your customers don't need to know that you're royally pissed. They also don't need to be talked to in any way besides friendly. You don't know how to describe it other than... anger and disappointment.

Your mom told you that she wanted the two of you to get closer now that your sister was out of the house. You always felt like that meant you were Plan B, not her beloved daughter. But you agreed despite your feelings, and where does it get you? Nowhere is the answer. You're already getting tired of it.

Your phone buzzes. You pick it up and find yourself smiling a bit at who texted you.

Yao💃: Hey! You work today right? We missed you yesterday

You: Hey, Yao! Yes, I work today. I'm just a little sore though ;;

Yao💃: It's those heels, huh?

You: Hehe, probably. What did I miss yesterday?

Yao💃: A girl asked if you were there! She was pretty bummed that you were off, though. Said something about wanting to talk to you

Yao💃: Turns out you're already a heartbreaker! ;>

You: Sheesh, as if! What did she look like? Do I know her?
