JACE'S POV
I raced after Clary, trying to keep my eyes on her fiery hair. She was almost too fast for me. I ran into the Institutes, barely noticing a dumbfounded Alec standing to the side of the entrace hall.
I went up the stairs and into her room. I looked around, and picked up of the two of us. we were in the park, laughing.
As I looked around more, I noticed the runes drawn on the wall,
Portal runes.
I felt myself leaning against the wall. I slid down into a crouch, my head in my hands.
Clary was gone. I had lost her.
Hello! I know that this is really short. Most of my chapter are pretty short, because I bounce between points of view a lot. I was going to make the next chapter part of this one, but I decided to make it from Alec's point of view. Anyways, thanks so much for reading!! <3
