***3 Months Layter***
ISABELLE'S POV
I paced back and forth in my room. It had been almost 8 months since Jace had left, and we've not heard anything. Nothing to tell us that he was okay, had found Clary, or that Clary was okay.
Magnus had tried his best to find Jace, but the potion that he used for Clary turned out to have some weird side effects. The best Magnus could do was tell us that Jace was still alive, wherever he was.
All of us were worried about Jace, but none more than me. If he didn't come back, that would mean that Clary wasn't going to be found or come back, and I would lose a brother and my best friend.
As I continue to pace, I hear footsteps in the hallway where my bedroom is. Alec slams open the door, excited about something.
"Izzy," he says, breathless. "You've got to come see. It's Jace! and Clary!"
