I had finished up my daily visit down in the chamber where Musona and Windy were held when I heard the whining of the missile and the crash of the projectile as it blasted through the upper ceiling.
Cursing up a storm, I ran up the stairs, praying to Notch that Sky and Master where safe.
As soon as I got up to the top floor, I stopped dead in my tracks.
What I saw could not be unseen; bodies were strewn all over the place with huge amounts of blood splatters surrounding them. The cause of death; giant hunks of rubble squashing them like insects.
Shaking, I forced my panic down and hurried down the hall towards the gym.
There were huge pieces of ceiling blocking the entrance, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t budge them.
Feeling the overload creeping up on me, I whipped my head around, trying to see if they had made it out in time.
But the only thing I could see was people running around in fear and carcasses.
I looked down, not wanting to see the horror anymore.
That’s when I heard Sky’s voice.
Well, screams to be exact.
Racing towards the sound, I scanned the area and saw a metal pair of claws grab Sky and haul him upwards.
Screaming, I kept running towards them, pushing myself to go as fast as I could manage, but it was too late.
Sky was taken by Delta. Right before my eyes.
I let out a blood curdling scream as I crumbled to the ground. The overload has taken its toll.

I woke up staring at the night sky.
Confused, I looked around, trying to recall where I was, but I couldn’t recognize the place.
“Oh good..he’s awake,” a familiar voice greeted me.
Turning my head wearily, I saw the silhouette that belonged to Tris.
“Where are we..?” I asked tiredly. I slowly sat up, my head heavy.
“We are on our way to the secondary Base of Operations.”
I blinked, puzzled.
“Wait…Secondary Base of Operations? Weren’t we just at the main base?”
“The main base…was annihilated.”
I froze.
“The attack…it..” I choked out. “But what about the defense force..? Surely they would’ve postponed the attack!”
“The defense force was also destroyed.”
“Instantaneously?!”
“…Yes..”
I let out a yell of frustration.
“Then how the h*ll have you not been destroyed earlier?!”
“….” Tris was silent for a while before replying. “That is because we were distracted by other matters.”
“Like what?!” I retorted. “Surely nothing can be more important than investing on our defense!”
“We were tending to the creation of you and Sky.”
I flinched but stayed quiet.
“We had set ourselves for offense, not defense, and was not ready for an attack. But this time..I will not make the same mistake.”
I blinked some more, taking it all in.
“Wait..what do you mean by not making the same mistake?”
“The previous Omega Master..Stella was her name…was also taken by Delta.”
My system froze up and I stared blankly at Tris.
Then it all faded to black.
