White.
That’s all Ty could see.
“Where am I..?” he wondered, slowly opening his eyes.
The former human was floating around in a blank expanse, completely void of anything.
“I should be scared..I should be sad..I should feel…something..”
And yet he wasn’t.
All he felt was calm.
Surveying the area, he turned his head around, trying to decipher what was going on.
He could remember all of it; being trapped, Jason coming in and killing the Delta Master, hitting the water…
“Oh..So I’m dead?”
Ty sat down midair, as if there was an invisible chair.
“What now..? Do I see all of my other friends? Is this it?”
“Welcome, Ty..” a familiar, humorous voice greeted him.
The speaker stepped into view.
The man had curly brown hair that refused to be straightened, hazel eyes, a short goatee that stretched all around his face, and a wide smile. He was slightly larger than average and he wore a collared shirt and jeans.
That person looked so…Familiar to Ty.
“Adam..?” he whispered, breathless.
Adam chuckled a little. “Have you forgotten how I looked, Ty?”
He shook his head. “No..But after seeing you look like Sky for so long..”
His friend grinned. “Well..It’s not really a big jump from looking at you to Deadlox..” he mused.
“Yeah..” Ty looked down at his hands.
“So…You’re dead..”
“Correct.”
“And I’m dead..”
“Nope.”
Ty looked up and stared at him, puzzled. “But how am I not? I fell into water!”
“Yeah, but Jason pulled you out right after you hit the water.” Adam explained. “It’ll take years, possibly even decades to get you back to how you originally where, and even then they’ll be some minor..mishaps..”
Ty groaned.
“Why do I have to go back to that h*ll hole?”
“Because you don’t want to leave Jason all by his lonesome, right?”
He paused, thinking.
All those years he spent, suffering and defeated. The survivor’s guilt kept eating away at him day in and day out, and he could never shake the feel of emptiness inside.
He didn’t want Jason to go through the same things he did.
“..Alright, I’ll go..” he finally spoke, reluctantly.
Ty finally had a chance to rest in peace with all his other dead friends, but apparently it was not his time.
He just wanted all the pain..all the misery to end.
Adam looked at him with concern, and without warning, he embraced him tightly.
“U-um..” stuttered Ty, confused. There was a slight blush in his cheeks.
“I’ll miss you, bro..Stay strong and take care of Jason for me, will ya?” the now deceased compainion murmured.
Ty slowly nodded. “I will..”
Adam then began to fade, and so did everything else.
A force beyond Ty’s control made him close his eyes.
“I’ll miss you, Adam..”
