I woke up lying on a metal table again.
Sighing, I lifted up my sunglasses and rubbed my sightless eyes.
F*ck..I failed my mission…
You had ONE job, Sky..
No butter for you.
“He’s awake..” someone spoke, the voice instantly was recognized as my master.
“No dip, Sherlock..” I muttered, frustrated.
“No worries about the mission,” Master said. I “looked” up at her, surprised.Had I heard that correctly?
I was excused from my epic fail?
She read my expression and nodded. “Iris had trouble dealing with D3AD_L0X, and called for help, but he is currently in our custody.”
I blinked and stared.
So the objection was actually achieve. No thanks to me.
“Wait…what?” I squeaked, my voice hoarse.
“Sky, you helped complete the mission.”
I kept blinking, disbelief flooding me.
Then, as if I was malfunctioning, I started to yell in celebration and relief, and flailing my arms.
“WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I screeched, laughing hysterically.
So I wasn’t a total failure after all!
“Woah, calm down.” The Omega Master cautioned. “While he was corrupted, he messed with you personality, memory, and core mechanics. Luckily, we had back up files, but we were not able to correct your core mechanics, so just be careful.”
My exasperated smile faded.
“What core mechanics are distorted…?” I asked, sheepishly.
“You are now more prone to viruses, your system gets flooded more quickly and…” she paused on the last one.
“And?” I encouraged, shaking.
“You..now feel pain.”
I blinked, confused.
“But..I’m a robot..! I don’t feel pain!” I pointed out, slightly angry.
“I know..but that is because WE turned your pain sensors off. If you weren’t made from organic material, then you wouldn’t have this problem. See, since you were once human, you used to have nerves that would pick up the sense of touch and pain. When our scientists were rebuilding you, they didn’t have the time to permanently remove the pain sensors; they needed it to use as your wires, which is crucial to you because without your wires, you wouldn’t be able send critical messages, thus making you immobile, useless hunk of metal.”
I narrowed my eyes at her, but she kept going.
“So, they kept the pain sensors but turned it off. When 1337304 hacked into your system, he simply turned it on again, and disabled the ‘turn off’ function, so its stuck.”
I sighed, and cursed under my breath.
I don’t care that he “used” to be my “friend”…what I’d really like to do is sock him in the face with butter and yell curses at him.
Master narrowed her eyes at my expression.
“No, Sky..you can’t beat him up. We reset him; he doesn’t even remember who you are.”
I sighed and grumbled to myself.
“Sky..I think it’s time for you to go explore the outside world..”
I groaned, thinking that it was another stupid mission.
“But this time, you are free to do as you please.”
I snapped my head up when I heard that.
“For real? Like, I can go and walk around in towns and do parkour maps and-“
“Yes, you can.”
I smiled again, and reached for my butter sword, but found that it was missing. Not caring that much, I jumped off the table and landed squarely on my feet.
“But theres a catch..”
I let out a groan of disapproval and sat down again.
“You will have to disguise yourself..the general public hates us and worships Delta, so if they find out that you belong to us…”
I winced, thinking of the possibilities.
“So you have to cover up those lines and dots on your cheeks and cover you power button.” With that, she handed me a soft, fluffy scarf.
I wrapped it around my neck and took the face paint she offered me.
Dapping it on my face, I thought of all the fun things I would do..
“Oh, and one more thing..”
I “looked” up at my master.
“Ty is going with you.”
