We were winning.

The Delta forces were being pushed farther and farther back, and soon their main headquarters came to sight.

Screeching, I kept firing my gun like no tomorrow.

After regaining my human memories, that pretty much turned me into a ruthless killing machine.

And I was going to get my revenge.

Firing one head shot after another, I summersaulted, dodging a stream of ammunition and fired back, wiping out another human life.

Eventually I started to run low on bullets, so I had to put down my gun and steal some dead persons’.

Feeling suddenly sick to my stomach, I quickly stole some ammo that looked like the right size and threw myself back into the fray.

Omega’s forces eventually completely surrounded the Delta’s base.

We are just one step until we can finally end this all.

Then, out of the blue, the Delta Master appeared out of nowhere and cleared his throat, and besides him chained up, was Stella.

The previous Omega Master.

“Now..I advise you stop your silly little fight right here, or I will personally execute her right here and right now,” he declared, staring at the angry, seething mob.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him, mostly with despicable hate or confusion.

Stella was looking like a rag-doll; her eyes had a blood-soaked cloth around them, there was a dark red cloth in her mouth, preventing any communication, and her clothes were battered and torn. There were numerous cuts and fresh bruises all over, and her hair was matted with dried blood and tangled.

I hardly recognized her.

The only thing that could even remotely be associated with the person I knew was her tainted Omega badge.

“Now that I’ve gotten your attention, I’d like to offer a trade.”

Demon out from the crowd, his red eyes slits.

“What are you proposing..?”

“I would like you to hand Ty here over to me, and in return, I will give you back your previous leader..”

I tensed.

W-what would be want he want with me?!

Apparently Demon and I think alike.

“And why would you want him?”

“Oh..I have my reasons..”

Both of us scoffed.

“So what’s it going to be? Deal or no deal?”

Demon looked at me uncertainly.

Looking back at Stella, I could see her shaking her head.

“..Take me…spare her…” I mumbled, taking a step forwards.

I expected to hear Sky yelling at me to stop, but surprisingly, it was Jason who was screaming.

“NO! TY! DON’T!”

I turned my head, trying to see him, but the Delta Master grabbed my arm.

“Heheh..Wrong choice..” he growled, smiling.

I watched in slow motion as he took out a gun, pointed at Stella’s head, and shot her.

The moment he did that, though, it was like someone pressed the “unpause” button.

The people of Omega shared a collective howl in outrage as they closed in on us.

Not wanting to be squished, I tried to wretch my arm free, but it was no use.

The Delta Master let out a loud, haunting laugh as he slipped through the crowd of Delta officers storming in to protect him.

Before I knew what was going on, he had pressed my power button and everything faded to black.
