Waking up again, I found myself dangling over a tank full of water.
Screaming, I looked around madly, trying to find a way out of this.
For a split second, though, I thought I saw something at the bottom.
That barely registered though, and I continued to scream my head off.
The Delta Master just laughed at me.
“Same reaction as Sky..Ahh..This is just priceless…”
Tensing at the mention of my friend, I ceased my wails.
“W-what do you mean?” I chocked, confused and even more petrified.
“Oh…Why don’t you look down?”
Peering down at the waters again, my eyes widened.
There he was.
His back was pressed against the floor as if there was an invisible weight keeping him there.
Instead of a face full of fear, his face was full of sorrow.
If I had one, that would’ve stopped my heart. Or broke it.
Both, honestly.
I took in a shaky breath, trying hard not to overload.
“I don’t really like being the one to spoil a moment, but he was apologizing to you and Jason for dying..” the sadistic demon grinned. “Too bad that you’re going to meeting the same fate as him..”
I let myself go limp.
Sky….You really are gone..This time, for real..
I made snuffling sounds as tears leaked from my eyes.
Why….why did it have to come to this?
Why me?
Why Sky?
What did we do to deserve this?
Why does it always have to be us?
Why..?
“Say good bye, Ty…You’ll be seeing Sky soon..” he laughed some more.
His hand was inches from the lever that would end my miserable existence.
This is it…I thought, closing my eyes.
If he was going to kill me, I didn’t want to see him do it.
A gun fired, and I heard a body drop to the floor.
Slowly opening my eyes, I saw Jason standing there, holding a pistol in his hand.
There was smoke drifting away from the opening.
“For Adam..” he mumbled, his expression dark.
“J-Jason..?” I squeaked, crying uncontrollably.
My friend was about to figure out a way to release me when the Delta Master used the last of his strength to pull the lever down.
I screamed as I hit the tank and blacked out.
