Iris and I made our way to the Delta base, which I felt quite accomplished, considering I can’t see anything..
From what I could hear, the door was open. That was kinda alarming for me, but we headed on in, anyways.
Hey, at least some of the work was already done for us…though…I wonder how it was open in the first place…
From what I could guess, this D3AD_L0X guy opened the door before us.
I’m not sure if I should feel relieved or even more startled from that.
Jeez..everything is so confused..I wish things were a lot more simple..and that I could actually f*cking see what’s infront of me.
I think I said this out loud, because I felt Iris pat my shoulder.
Anyways, we walked around the barren halls, blindly, as we tried to find our target.
At least I was armed with a budder sword…Budder makes everything better.
I know I was told not to harm the guy, but could you really blame me if I “accidentally” punched him in the face?
No. No you couldn’t.
Though I will admit: the eerie silence startled me even further.
Oh god..what’s going to happen? I’m so started right now…
I thought things would be a lot harder. I thought that we had to bust our way in and punch a bunch of people in the face.
Apparently, that’s not the case.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps, approximately 5 yards away.
I whirled my head around, trying to pick up any more sounds.
But there was nothing more than the eerie clank…clank… of metal feet shuffling their way towards me.
I felt Iris stiffen against my side, and she looked around too.
She took in a sharp breath as she spotted something.
I looked around more, hoping that the darkness would go away and I would be able to see whats going on again.
“Why hello there…Sky…” a creepy voice cooed. I could feel its eyes burning into me.
“W-Who are you?!” I shouted back, feeling edgier and edgier by the second.
“Aw…you don’t remember me, Sky..?” the voice laughed, still staring at me.
“N-No I don’t…” I muttered, still trying to look threatening.
“Stop trying to look menacing, Sky..you look as scary as a squid.” The voice said, rolling its eyes.”
I felt Iris write something on my shoulder. “T-h-a-t-‘s D-3-A-D-_-L-0-X.”
I stared back at the source of the voice, confused.
“Really?” I asked.
“No dip, Sherlock!” the voice retorted.
Huh..that’s strange. I feel like I know that voice…it sounds so familiar, somehow.
I guess this is what they meant when they told me that I used to be friends with this crazy psycho.
“Look man, can you just come with us?” I asked. Not sure if that would work, but it was worth a shot.
I heard Iris facepalm.
“No can do. I was told to stay here, man.” D3AD_L0X replied. He started to walk towards us. “Jeez it’s no use. You don’t know anything, do you?”
I shook my head, stepping backwards. This is so confusing! Why did the Omega make me do this?! Can’t they see that I’m confused as f*ck and am of no use?!
“It’s such a shame, really. I had hoped that you would’ve pulled through this and live, but here you are…dead and completely wiped.”
I shook my head. “J-Jason I’m started…” I said, feeling panic build up inside. And I still don’t know who this Jason is!
“Oh well..play time is over.” My former “friend” sighed. He quickly lunged at me but was socked in the face by Iris, a loud bang! Ringing in the halls as her fist connected with his jaw.
D3AD_L0X stumbled back a couple of steps, and I heard the electricity hum from the dent.
“Oh right..I forgot about that little twerp..” he muttered. He swung at her, his hand connecting with her as she blocked the swing and tried to sock him in the stomach, but he was ready. He quickly blocked the swing and twisted both her arms, the bones letting out sharp snapping sounds as they were overcome by the force.
“OH H*LL NAW!” I yelled and let out a battle cry. I swiftly charged at him, and avoided all the attacks that were thrown my way. I nimbly smacked him in the forehead with the back of my sword and proceeded to stab him in the shoulder, wincing as I heard the loud screech that came from D3AD_L0X. He reached to grab me, but I dodged that and proceeded to kick his knee, causing him to crumble at my feet.
Blinking, I looked around for Iris, hoping that she was still fine. Luckily, I heard her running towards us.
Right at that moment, my target saw that opportunity and grabbed my wrist. I screamed as I felt the virus rushing into my system, seizing everything I ever knew from me, and I crumbled, succumbing to the darkness again.
