This is it. The moment I’ve been waiting for my whole freaking life.

This the attack on Delta.

Instead of going immediately to the battle field like Ty, I was told to stay back with the others.

I was part of the air assault. He was part of the ground troops.

Sighing, I tapped my foot against the ground, impatiently. They already did a check up on me to make sure that my hover system was working properly, and right now I was waiting for the orders to begin our flight. I had already gone through the mission a million time before, and I really don’t feeling doing it again.

Taking off the earpiece of the intercom and fiddling around with it, I let my mind wander.

That was a bad idea.

Instead of going through the stories Jason told me, I started to worry about Ty.

What if he was shot down already?

What if he was blown up?

What if he was captured again?

Shuddering, I tried to clear my mind again, but it proved to be futile.

God I hope he’s okay….

SHOWTIME!

I let out a fierce battle cry as I flew over the battle field. Dropping the bombs I was given at the anti-aircraft gunners, I looped around in the air, making it harder to shoot me.

I heard the never ending screams of both my comrades and my enemies clashing together, slaying and dying.

Shuddering, I knew that I would never get that out of my head.

Taking out my machine gun, I fired away at the Delta’s defense.

Now, I know what you might be thinking.

“SKY! Why are you fighting?! You’re blind!”

And while I know that fully well, I’m not alone on this.

Because I’m blind, the engineers back at Omega made this giant relay system that would tell me if I was aiming at a fellow Omega soldier.

How it works it that if I pointed my gun at anyone on my side, there would be a rapid clicking sound in my intercom, telling me that I was aiming at a person from Omega.

And of course, well this is all fine and dandy, it really gets distracting while I’m fighting.

That and combined with the haunting shrieks of people dying practically made me deaf, thus making me more prone to getting shot by Delta.

A familiar voice screaming shattered my concentration.

Dodging a stream of bullets headed my way and returning fire, I drove towards the ground.

“Jason!” I called, hoping to god he was okay.

He..He should be! His quadrant was near the back; he was a support unit.

Bullets erupted again and repeatedly hit my chest, but thanks to my bullet-proof vest, it barely made a dent.

Still, letting out a stream of swears, I threw a grenade and ducked as the explosive went off.

Running to where my friend was, I hear him breathing heavily as he fumbled with something.

“Jason!”

“Sky?!”

“What’s going on?!”

“D-Don’t mind me! You need to stay with your quadrant!”

“To h*ll with that! Are you okay?!”

Jason nodded but struggled to complete whatever task he was working on.

“Dude! TELL ME!”

“ALRIGHT I WAS SHOT IN THE LEG! HAPPY?!”

I froze, but the sounds of bullets firing at us brought me back to reality.

Throwing myself in front of him, I took the bullets as I kept firing back at the person who was shooting us.

“SKY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

“I’M SAVING YOUR LIFE!”

After whoever was firing at us died, I hauled Jason onto my back and took back off into the skies.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! PUT ME DOWN!”

“JUST SHUT UP ALREADY!”

Again, I flew in loops to evade the missiles heading my way and dropped Jason off another support unit.

He was immediately taken into their custody, and I stood there for a while.

This all seems..so familiar..

But how..? Why..?

I..can’t seem to recall living through an event like this..

Déjà vu..

“Um..Sky..?”

Musona’s voice broke me out of my trance. “Huh?” I blinked of couple of times.

“Are you okay? Are you hurt?”

“Yeah..Just stopped by to drop Jason off…He was shot in the leg..”

“Oh..”

We stood there awkwardly for a few minutes before I heard someone yelling into the intercom for me to get back into the fight and stop dawdling around.

“Crap..I gotta go..”

“Alright..good luck..”

Leaving her there, I launched myself back into the fray, ending many lives in the process.
