"Peter!" I exclaim, and smile at him. He stood there, his mouth open in shock, a shopping bag on the floor, eyeing the scene.

Grabbing my backpack of the floor, I sling it over my shoulder and dust myself, walking up to him.

He looks at me with wide eyes, and I raise an eyebrow.

"What?" Gulping, he shakes his head, and I a soft laugh escapes me. "Anyway, what're you doing here?" He picks up the grocery bag, motioning at it.

"M-May wanted me to run a few errands, so......" I nod, and he looks back the the scene of the men, before looking back at me.

"Um, so, why're you out this late? I would say it isn't safe, but..." Rolling my eyes, I shrug. "Biscuit and I were gonna have a girls night." At this, he nods understandingly.

"D-Do you want me to walk you?" After a quick nod, we begin to walk in silence, listening to the sounds of late night Queens.

"No.....no.....ooo, let's get those." Lila grabs the chips packet and places it in the ever-growing snack stash in my hands.

"We'll come back for more if we need it." I eye the dozens of snacks, and then look at her, before grinning maliciously. "Yup, we'll need it."

Running up into her room, we dump them all in a corner before climbing into the blanket fort we made, which was complete with vines and fairy lights on the inside. We had grabbed basically every blanket available in the house, and made it large enough so that we could sit comfortably and fit the laptop inside.

Selecting a few bags of food, I place them in a corner of the fort, and smile at my work. "Are you getting the laptop?" I shout, and a small 'yes!' reply is heard back.

Getting up, I grab my ringing phone and pick up, not bothering to check the caller ID. "Hello?"

"Star! How's the girls night?" Peter's enthusiastic voice comes through the phone, and I shake my head, holding back a laugh.

"It's great, Pete. We made a fort, and we're about to binge watch the entire night. Still haven't decided what to watch, though." Glancing at the door, I pull the phone closer against my ear, and mimic a cup shape around my mouth and the speakers, as if to stop the sound waves from moving it.

"Listen. I was thinking.....I gotta tell her, Pete." I could practically see the confusion on his face through the phone.

"About what?"

"About us!" I squeal, and slap a hand over my mouth and glance at the closed door again, making sure no one was there.

"Oh! Oh oh oh. About us. Ok, uh, you should do it! I mean, if you think it's good, you should tell her." I exhale softly, and nod.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna try tonight. Hopefully she doesn't freak out. What if she does? Oh no, what if she get's mad at me because I didn't tell her and doesn't want to be friends-"

"Star! Star! Stop. Don't overthink. You know Lila's a huge fan of Primora. I don't think she's going to be too mad or even scared of you, if not excited that her best friend is a superhero." Gulping, I nod, biting my lip.

Just then, I heard the door click, and I quickly said bye. As I ended the call, Lila walked in with the laptop and a smug grin on her face that immediately set off my she's-planning-something senses.

Setting the laptop down, she settled in front of me in the fort, and raised her eyebrows suggestively, giving me a look.

"Biscuit, you good?"
