Thump.

Thump.

I think I was going crazy.

Swinging around Queens wasn't anything new, I do it on a daily basis.

So, explain to me why I felt like I was on cloud 9?!

Everything seemed seemed so much more....vibrant, and it was as if my senses were dialed up to 100.

As Star clung against me, admiring the view of the city in awe, I felt pride swell in my chest like a helium balloon.

I was quite literally the only person who was capable of the showing the city to her like this.

That probably shouldn't have made me as happy as it did.

Spotting her apartment building, I swung and landed on the opposite one, holding Star a tad tighter as we hit the concrete floor.

Giving my legs two seconds to absorb the shock, I slowly lower her to the ground, letting her feet brush the floor.

Opening her eyes, her eyes still containing the after-affects of dazed wonder, she looks around for a moment, as if gathering her location.

She still hadn't let go of her grip on my shirt.

I was probably the physical embodiment of the color r e d by now.

"Oh...that's my room, right?" She says, and I nod, not taking my gaze off of her.

She must be god's favorite creation.

I didn't realize she turned towards me until she called my name, and I whipped my head away from her, flustered.

About what?!

All of a sudden, she lets go of shirt, almost stumbling back, and I catch her, reluctantly letting go of her waist.

"I-um, I didn't know you could see my room from up here."

"Maybe you should invest in some blackout curtains?" I suggest.

"Isn't that supposed to help on the inside?

I shrug.

"Honestly, I don't know. Just, be careful. Possibly try to change in the bathroom or bring down the blinds cause I know you keep them open all the time." She smirked, taking a step closer to me.

"And how do you know that?"

"Because I come through your window like all the time." Ok, that sounded so weird.

"That did not come out right, did it?"

"Nope." A moment of silence ensued, and my eyes flitted over her features, catching her brown eyes doing the same.
