Chapter 26:
-Cassie's POV-
"Don't tell anybody, ok?" Ryan said.
"I promise I won't tell anybody." I said.
"Thank you." He said.
Ryan is a pretty tough guy, I never thought I would see this side of him before. Or like this.
His father should never have done this.
"Cassie!" My mom called.
"Yes?" I said back to her.
"Dinner is ready now."
"Ok."
We walked down the attic ladder and towards the kitchen.
It smelt so good.
"It's just a simple meal." my mom said. "Soup and grill cheese sandwiches."
"Sounds delicious." Ryan sound.
My mom laughed.
After we all sat down to eat. Max brought something up.
We were all stun by the sentence he had said.
"I like somebody." he said.
"Max likes somebody again? It's been years since that happened."
"What?" My dad said. "Who?"
"She's in my Math and English class." he said.
"What's her name?" My dad said.
"Her name is Lily Smith." he said.
"That name sounds pretty familiar. It seems like I know her or seen this person before."
"She has long gorgeous blonde hair with hazel eyes." he said.
"Have you talked to her?" My dad asked.
"Yeah I have. Her voice is an angel."
"And how long have you talked to her?" My mom said.
"A while now. Ever since we had to work in a group together." he said.
I bit into my sandwich.
And when I finished that bite I asked Max a question.
"Does she like you too?"
"I'm not sure. I hope she does."
We kinda all hope she does, Max has been in a relationship once and it didn't end well.
He really liked this girl and she couldn't say no when he asked her out and she didn't want to date him at all but she did and when he found out she didn't like him, he got sad and hasn't liked anybody since because he thinks nobody likes him like that.
"Well good for you Max." My dad said. "just get to know her more first and if she's really interested in you ask her out."
"Thanks." Max said.
He ate his last spoonful of soup and he got up to clean his mess then he walked to his room to start his homework.
"I'm glad he's starting to like someone now. I was thinking if he never got married he live with is forever." my mom said.
And we all laughed.
