Chapter 19:
-Ryan's POV-
She looked like she had something to say, but she didn't say anything.
"Cassie? Do you know who sent this?"
Her face grew pale. She didn't want to tell me.
"It's ok. Don't worry. I won't let this happen." I said grabbing her shoulders.
She looked up and she had a clear tear coming down her face.
"Don't cry Cassie. It's ok I'll protect you."
She took her index finger and wiped the bottom of her eye.
I pulled her towards me and hugged her. Her face pushed against my chest I knew she was crying again and this time I just let her cry it all out.
A few minutes later. She grabbed my arm and took me upstairs to her room.
"She hasn't spoken a single word since we got home. I hope this isn't a bad thing."
When we walked in she let go of my arm and walked to her closet.
Random things were being pulled out from big like box.
Pictures, little crafts works, a little tiny box that read "Memory box"
A doll with brown hair and blue eyes.
"I know this is childish, but I had this doll my whole life and it makes me feel better when I'm like this." She said speaking quietly.
She hasn't spoke like that since we started dating. I don't blame her for acting like this.
"My grandma gave it the day I was born."
She walked up and turned it around.
It said,
"Peoples definition of beauty is nature. My definition of beauty is you. Love Grandma"
She turned it back around and hugged it.
"Cassie, your grandma is a smart lady." I said with a smile.
She looked up at me, she smiled through dried tears on her face.
Grabbing her waist I ? pulled her towards me and kissed her forehead.
"Cassie?" some said out of the room.
"Yea?" she whispered.
"Can I talk to you in the hallway?"
She pulled away and walked to the hallway.
Whispers happened out the door, I walked away because it's not my business to listen.
"Really!" Someone said in a happy tone.
The door opened again and Cassie walked in with a smile on her face.
"Guess what." she said grabbing the doll tightly in her hands.
"What?" I said getting up off her bed.
"I have a HUGE chance to got into University of Rochester!" She was so excited that she knew she had a big change to get in her dream school.
"Really? Good job Cassie." I was excited that she has a HUGE chance get in but I know I might not see her for a when she does get in and once college starts.
"Don't worry. It won't start until another year." she said grabbing my shoulders.
She was right, but I'm not sure what collage I'll go to and when I'll hang out with her again once we leave.
"Guess what though." she said getting me out if my thoughts.
"What?" I replied.
"Next month or so they are allowing people to audition again to get a free scholarship to University of Rochester and maybe if your interested you could tryout." Her face turned red.
"I haven't really played an instrument in a while and the only instrument that was, was the violin." I said.
"Well I'll teach you how to play." she said smiling.
"No, no that would be a bother to you and I don't even have a violin anymore." I really didn't want to be a bother to her.
"You won't be a bother to me and plus I might have another violin hanging out in the attic somewhere." She said.
"You would that for me?" I said with a smile now.
"Well yeah." She smiled. "come on let's look for it."
She grabbed my hand, took me to the hallway and pulled down the string that opens the attic.
