Chapter 22:
-Ryan's POV-
"Why are you calling me?" I said angrily
"Why are you still with that low life loser?"
"You have no right to call her that. You can't go make her life hell because I'm with her now."
"But Ryan..."
"No, you have no right to say those things to her. She's a wonderful girl, and she isn't rude like you."
The phone was silent.
"Ugh! Fine!" and the phone call ended.
I closed my phone and put it back in my pocket and I walked back to the kitchen where Cassie stood.
"Let me guess." She said. "Lucy?"
"Yeah. I told her to leave us alone though, so if she tries to hurt you let me know and I'll handle her and I mean anything." I said.
"Thanks Ryan." Her mom said.
"Your a great kid. You know that Ryan." Her dad added.
"Thank you. I'll do anything to protect Cassie."
"Wow nobody has ever done that for my baby sis." Max said.
I forgot he was in the family room watching his TV show 'The Walking Dead'
He wasn't very far with it. Almost to season 5 though. He isn't going to like it.
"Max." Cassie's mom said.
"Yeah ma?" He looking over the couch like a little child would do.
She looked at him and was about to something but instead she just laughed.
Cassie looked like she had this strange look.
"What did she want?"
"She really didn't want anything. She was just being that stubborn person she is." I said.
"Alright."
We were quiet for a while until her mom broke the silence.
"Ok so it's almost 6 so I'm going to start cooking something for us to have for dinner."
She walked to the fridge and brought out some different kinds of vegetables and some broth.
My guess is she was making some kind of soup.
Her dad walked to his home office to work I guess.
Max went back watching his show. And Cassie and I didn't move for a while, we just stood in the kitchen while everybody around us did their own thing.

Sorry for not publishing I've been busy and since Christmas was coming up I had to help get ready. And this chapter is short sorry for about that. And the title doesn't make sense.... I'm not in a creative mood right now to think of one.-Kristen.
