Chapter 20:

-Cassie's POV-

"I haven't been in the attic since I was 8 years old when I would help my dad get down decorations for a holiday. Brings back some amazing memories I had when I was little." I said walking up to a old dresser.

The dust flew from the dresser as my hand slid across the top of the dresser.

"Everything in this attic has a story to it." I with a smile.

"Tell me about this dresser then." Ryan said walking up behind me.

"Well it was my great great great great grandmas..."

I told Ryan the story of how it survived somehow in a war and how my great great great great grandma brought it from her home town to here.

"It's still in great shape." he said. "Like nothing hit it."

"It was strange when I was told this but what I found out later was that my great great great great grandma hid in here." I said. "and whenever I come up here I try to open it, but it has a lock on it and I don't know where the key is."

Ryan walked over and bent down. "if you want we could try to open it."

"How?"

"Well maybe we could try and brake the lock open." He said standing up.

"Umm I think there are some pillars somewhere up here." I said walking up to the sting that would turn on the light to the other half of attic.

I found a wooden toolbox with different kind of tools inside.

"Mhm. A screwdriver, no. Drill, no. Ah, pillars."

I turned around and ran into a spiderweb and a little squeal came out.

Ryan walked up to me and helped get the spiderweb off of me.

"Haha are you ok?" he said pulling a web out of my hair.

"Yeah. I'm fine." I pulled a web off of my arm.

A spider was chilling on the end of the web.

"Ahhhh!" a threw the web with the spider on it off of me and fell back onto Ryan.

"It's ok. I got you." He said laughing a little.

I giggled a little. "thanks."

I got up and handed Ryan the pillars.

"Ready to open it up?" I asked.

"Ready."

We walked back to the dresser and sat down.

"Ok, let's do this." I said.

Ryan grabbed the lock and put the pillars in between.

"Click. Thud."

The lock fell on the floor and we opened the door.
