I stirred awake to an intriguing blend of scents—cologne and cigarettes. My eyes wandered around the room, and my gaze fell upon a shirtless guy with a perfectly sculpted back and defined muscles that demanded attention.
Realization hit me like a pounding drumbeat—last night's events were a blur, and my dress from the gala still clung to my body. My head throbbed, and I struggled to recollect the details of the night before.
The guy turned around, and there he was—Kaden Richardson, the enigmatic CEO, standing before me. My heart raced, and I decided it was best to leave immediately. As I moved toward the door, he interjected, "You know, I read that it was rude to not say good morning."
I glanced back at him, leaning against the door frame on the balcony, cigarette between his fingers. Groaning, I muttered, "I was leaving, don't worry."
He informed me, "We're leaving today."
"Good," I mumbled, trying to maintain my composure.
As he revealed that nothing untoward had occurred between us, I couldn't help but ask, "What's your problem? If you don't care, why'd you take me to your room?"
"You seem to think I'm in love with you. May I remind you that drunk you appears to be very confident," he retorted, his tone cold and emotionless.
"Great, thanks," I whispered, feeling the sting of his words.
Kaden walked past me, and despite my annoyance, I couldn't help but admire the perfection of his abs. Everything about him seemed impeccable, except for his less-than-ideal personality.
Just as he was about to inform me of our departure, cameras outside the room caught his attention, prompting him to quickly shut the door. Worried, he turned to me, "Did you happen to tell anyone about us being here together when you were drunk?"
"Well, I don't know, boss. The last thing I remember was you telling me to go away. And, oh wait, I WAS DRUNK," I retorted, my frustration evident.
As the tension between us lingered, I couldn't help but wonder what the day had in store for us. The enigma of Kaden Richardson's world continued to unfold, and I was determined to navigate the unexpected twists and turns, refusing to be swept away by his charm or his aloofness. The story of our intertwined fates had just begun, and I braced myself for the enthralling journey that lay ahead.
I watched as he put his cigarette out and walked up to me and I stepped back.
I was against the wall and his face was inches away from mine.
"I don't like your attitude......fix it" he whispered.
I looked down trying to avoid eye contact with him, "make me" I whispered. I felt him push me against the wall.
"This isn't high school Naomi, you work for me" he whispered.
I bit my lip and looked at him. "I know" I whispered.
"you won't get your way with me, our relationship is strictly professional like I said before" he whispered.
"I know," I said pushing him off me slightly.
I felt his tight grip on my hands and he pinned my hands above my head and against the wall. I could feel the sexual tension between us.
I wanted him to kiss me right now. I needed it badly. I wanted to know what kissing him now would feel like. His personality seems to be rough now.
It makes him a lot more hot.
"I know your body begs for me to touch you" he whispered as he put his hand on my cheeks, squishing them into my face slightly.
It hurt.
He leaned in to kiss me, I bit my lip and looked at him and saw him smirk.
"but that's the last thing I'd ever do for you" he whispered in my ear and let go of my hands and removed his hands from my face.
I felt myself breathing heavily, I don't know why but that turned me on slightly. The fact he was being aggressive with me or the fact I couldn't have him.
I bit my lip and looked at the floor, after a few minutes of silence I saw Sam walk in and he opened the door for me. "all clear" he smiled.
I looked at the floor and walked out of his room quickly.

I walked into my hotel room and saw Alex sitting on the bed. "where in the world have you been?" she asked.
"you don't wanna know," I said.
"umm hello, best friend, where were you," she asked.
"in our boss's room," I said quickly not thinking about what just came out of my mouth. I heard Alex gasp.
"you slept with him," she said.
"no of course I didn't, I got drunk and he took me to his room and when I tried to leave this morning, paparazzi took pictures of us, and now the whole world probably thinks we're dating" I sat down with my face in my hands.
"don't worry he's quick to address rumors" Alex smiled, I heard a knock on the door and Alex opened the door, it was Sam.
"Mr. Richardson is ready to go," he said. I rolled my eyes and followed Sam along with Alex.
