We were all watching the news on the big screen in the office as Kaden's father was going to talk about Kaden's business. "Okay everyone shut up, it's on," Charlotte said. I saw Kaden walk into the room and he was talking to Jamie. Yes, Jamie's here, he surprised Kaden. but he didn't come at a very good time as Kaden's stressing more than usual.

Mark was talking on the screen, "Do you think your son is going to be successful in this industry?" the reporter asked Mark. "Yes, I think my son has the potential to be very successful I mean he's already making millions of dollars and he hasn't even started his career," Mark said.

"People have been saying that your son's a very....serious person, would you agree?" the woman asked. "uh yes, he's very serious but he always does what is necessary," Mark said.

"Is there anything that he's done that really made you think that you failed him as a father?" the reporter said putting the microphone to his mouth, "Yes, my son has done a lot of things that made me think I've failed him, but one of the most serious things I think is where I found him with my gun in his bedroom, his mother walked in and she saw him and he had this gun against his head and his mother she'd catch him almost every night trying to kill himself a-

"and do you know why that happened to cause this?" she said.

"When my son was seventeen, he had this girl that he was just so in love, you know young love" Mark laughed.

"yes, I remember it hurt so bad," the reporter said smiling.

"yeah, so he just messed everything up, he had to break up with up her and it hurt him so badly....he went off the edge, we thought about sending him to rehab but he'd always find a way out, he knew how to manipulate us at the age of seventeen," Mark said.

"oh wow, what did he do?" she asked. I looked at Kaden who looked uncomfortable.

"he did drugs, pills, anything you can think of he did...he even attempted to hang himsel-"

"TURN THAT SHIT OFF" I heard Kaden shout and he walked to his office, we all heard his office door shut.

Mark was smiling at the reporter, "to be honest my son's pretty messed up, he lets love control him and I think that's his biggest concern, his emotions will get him killed..........maybe that's why he's so heartless no-"

"you heard him turn it off," Charlotte snapped, people looked for the remote. I stood in shock and felt myself on the verge of tears.

"I've got it," Alex said turning the TV off. I walked to the bathroom and locked the door. I sat on the toilet seat and started crying.

He tried killing himself because of me

the worst part is, I didn't even know.

I can't even imagine what he must have gone through, when we broke up all I did was eat ice cream, cry or watch sad movies with my brother. I walked out of the bathroom stall and wiped my tears, I applied my makeup to my under eyes and walked into the main office. I saw people running around with sheets and saw Charlotte on the phone, "what's going on?" I asked Alex.

"they know it's you, someone from your high school called the news and said it was you, you're the girl Mr. Richardson tried killing himself over, and because you're his assistant rumors are going around about you and him," Alex said and she went back to typing on her laptop.

"what- do I go see him?" I asked. "probably," she said.

I looked around the room and saw everyone talking, people were answering phone calls while others were typing away. I walked to Kaden's office and hesitated to walk in. I let out a deep sigh and walked in, I saw Kaden drinking from the bottle, he was looking out the window and he hadn't noticed my presence.
