Driving Alone

The hills split into a valley green,
twisted roads followed broken trees,
autumn leaves traveling with winds,
towards their ends, times rewind.

I drove through the broken roads alone,
chose the slippery streams within,
twisting, winding like desert and dunes,
sometimes by day and sometimes with the moon.

Where shall this road lead I know nothing,
reaching is not but another dream,
to the end of this thirty heart selfish,
I wish to travel and never reach.

Drive, drive till roads cease to be,
then, walk anew till legs hurt and knee,
sit, lay still and breathe out the past,
heart shall sleep over the love at last.
