I am a solitary cloud,
I can't cover the moon tonight,
I am but fragile broken piece of haze,
gone are the dark thick cotton balls hanging up in the sky,
I am but just a solitary cloud finding others alike.I am gently drifting, conversing with the winds,
seeking, searching, friends with hopes alike,
to cover the lonely moon up above,
like an umbrella up in the sky.I want to dress this moon for a night,
the moon that rescinded all below,
and reminded of stories that could once be,
of 'ifs', 'buts' and 'could bes' so many,
the moon that nourished lonely hearts many.If I could but cover the moon for a night,
the wolves shall sleep and hearts lay light,
and the 'he' and the 'she' shall 'we' become,
albeit for moments but hearts beat for someone. But, I am a solitary cloud in the maze,
fragile and few broken pieces of haze,
the sky is too vast and the moon too bright,
If only...
I could be a whole cloud tonight.
