I am a solitary cloud, I can't cover the moon tonight, I am but fragile broken piece of haze, gone are the dark thick cotton balls hanging up in the sky, I am but just a solitary cloud finding others alike.
I am gently drifting, conversing with the winds, seeking, searching, friends with hopes alike, to cover the lonely moon up above, like an umbrella up in the sky.
I want to dress this moon for a night, the moon that rescinded all below, and reminded of stories that could once be, of 'ifs', 'buts' and 'could bes' so many, the moon that nourished lonely hearts many.
If I could but cover the moon for a night, the wolves shall sleep and hearts lay light, and the 'he' and the 'she' shall 'we' become, albeit for moments but hearts beat for someone.
But, I am a solitary cloud in the maze, fragile and few broken pieces of haze, the sky is too vast and the moon too bright, If only... I could be a whole cloud tonight.
