Solitude

I once went on a walk with my solitude,
by the bay across the beach,
winds chattering and waves on a rise,
the vastness diminished below infinite skies.

What may we talk about?
Heavens and stars are seldom real,
dreams and hopes fruits none bear,
shall we discuss the morrows that could be,
or shall we relive yesterday's melodies?

Oh! I hope, I hope so still,
the companies I share may join or leave,
but my friend, my solitude may forever live,

'til death does us apart,
'til death plays its part.
But would that separate me from him,
would my solitude leave this team,
it's not me walking by his side,
it's him clinging to my ride.
I can't be alone and that is right,
my solitude is lonely tonight.

I can't be alone and that is right,my solitude is lonely tonight
