"Spirits... NO!!!!" General Iroh cried as he spotted Kuvira free-falling whilst Akemi had wrapped herself around her. Petrified, the Great Uniter's head kept sitting up and drooping back as she intermittently fainted for seconds at a time, fluttering her eyelashes trying to get a hold of herself.

Not before long, however, a loud swooomfff was heard. The Great Uniter's assistant had lit up two blinding flames underneath her feet and sped up even more, zooming head-first towards the concrete street below them.

"Shit... Is that Ikedo??! And KUVIRA??" Lin stopped dead in her tracks alongside the rest of Team Avatar, who were running towards the giant mecha, as they watched the couple fall in flames and then rushed in their direction even faster. "IS SHE GOING TO-"

Kuvira's facial expression said more than words ever could in that moment; when she heard that recognisable firebending sound, she feared that Akemi was going to firebend at her in that rage-filled moment.

"AKEMIIIIIIII!!!!!!" Kuvira screeched, screaming in a way that Akemi had never heard her before. Kuvira wanted to say more, though the fear that had snowballed inside her kept her stuttering.

The firebender lifted her head slightly to look her commander in the eyes and, all while speeding towards the street with a ball of fire accumulating along their trail, calmly and slowly blinked in a way that ironically meant 'relax'.

Kuvira still looked at her with her mouth wide open and eyes in piercing shock, however that expression was interrupted when the pair felt a third weight thump onto them and latch onto their backs, causing Kuvira to let out yet another uncharacteristic scream. Suddenly, they had gracefully but very quickly landed onto the hard concrete surface.

The Great Uniter, somewhat collapsed in posture, was sandwiched in between General Iroh and Akemi, who still clung onto her extremely tightly to keep her from running off or attacking them.

Iroh looked at Akemi, whose face was still bound by Kuvira's metal, with a mixture of pain and sympathy in his eyes.

"I'm gonna make a ring, hold her tightly." He said as he swiftly backed away from the women just slightly. Kuvira's quietness was quickly followed by shrugging and squirming, to which Akemi responded with even more strength in her embrace.

"LOOK AT US! Two families welding and soldering away together in the middle of a crisis!!" Varrick beamed as the Satos and Varricks-to-be worked tirelessly and speedily to attach the plasma saws to the hummingbird suits.

"Families?" Asami asked him, tilting her head in confusion.

"YES! You, your father - i.e. my old time competitor - and myself with my future WIFE!!" He placed his hands under his chin and lifted a leg endearingly as he glanced at Zhu Li, who was evidently blushing.

"Awh congratulations, Varrick. I always saw it coming." Hiroshi smiled at the couple, joined by his daughter.

"Yes that's great news, wow!! Congrats the two of you!!" Asami smiled. As Varrick giggled away, she turned back to her father, "If we stop that mecha giant, it will all be because of you..."

Wrinkles formed at the corners of Hiroshi's eyes as he warmly smiled at his daughter, "You're the one who designed these incredible suits."

Asami smiled and looked down at the plasma saw gleaming in front of her. "Well actually, it was more like my cousin and I did."

Hiroshi's eyes widened in confusion, "Your... Cousin? ... Satoshi? He's seven years old...?"

His daughter chuckled as she replied, "Nooo... Akemi. Akemi Ikedo. Did Chief Beifong not mention that she was family to you?"

The former CEO of Future Industries gasped, "Yasuko's family. I didn't believe it could have been a relative when she said Ikedo. Please do keep in contact, your mother would have loved for you to get to know the rest of your family... Beyond whoever lived in Republic City, that is...How- Um, did- Did you reach out to them? Did she reach out to you?"
