LOLA WAS OVER at the Gilmore house, like most nights. It was to escape her mother, her brother, and her needy boyfriend. The Gilmore house welcomed Lola with open arms every time she showed up on the doorstep. Sometimes she would show up, knocking on the door at one in the morning with tear tracks that she tried so hard to hide, asking if she could stay over. This time she had gone over, escaping Jude who was being far too controlling for her liking."What dost my lady think?" Lorelai walked into the Gilmore living room gracefully with a headdress sitting on top of her brunette head. At Chilton, Rory was preforming Romeo and Juliet, and it was Lorelai's job to make the costumes.
"That you're going to be late for the joust?" Rory smiled at her mother, who was too busy showing off her creation to look at the clock.
"I meant of thy lovely headdress crafted by thy mother's hand artful hand?"
"It pleaseth us mucheth, but uh, hath Rory's beautius mother lookedeth at the time?" Lola grinned, finding the situation funny.
"Oh crap!" Lorelai ran up the stairs, hoping she had tim two change before she was too late to business class. The Gilmore home phone started ringing, and Rory jumped up to answer it.
"Hello?" She answered, pausing to hear the person on the other line. "I don't think the ending to Romeo and Juliet is exactly a secret." Rory sighed, and Lola knew it was Paris. "Oh right."
"There's a MissPatty.net?" Rory continued, shooting Lola an amused look. "Well... You know, I'd rather just rehearse somewhere else." She sighed again, annoyed at Paris. "I'm not embarrassed. I just want to keep my school life separate from my home life, you know?" But Paris had already hung up, informing Rory that she was already on her way and they were rehearsing there no matter what.
"Have you seen my bag with the beads and the fur, kind of looks like Stalin's head?" Lorelai asked quickly, searching through drawers and closet before finally pulling out her bag.
"We're rehearsing here now." Rory whined.
"What?"
"Our Shakespeare group. Paris didn't want anyone spying on us so now we're rehearsing in Stars Hollow. This sucks." Rory plopped down on the couch, hiding her face in the cushions.
"Well, at least you don't have to drive to Hartford. What's with the face?
"It's just, Tristin is in our group."
"DuGray?" Lola asked. She was really good friends with Tristan. The two had met at one Chilton event, and stayed in touch since then, seeing as both Rory and Jude went to the fancy private school, so she would see Tristan at school events. Rory nodded.
"Right, so Tristin, he's in our group, so that means he's in...well, and Dean lives here, so this sucks."
"Okay, you know what Vanna? I'm gonna need a few more vowels here." Lorelai joked, laughing at Rory.
