lola's bridesmaid dress ^^
THERE WAS EXACTLY one week before Sookie married Jackson, and everything had to be perfect. The venue was the inn, and even though there were only fifty people attending, Sookie made tons of food, cake, and Lola helped her decorate. Originally Enily Gilmore was going to plan Sookie's wedding for her, but Lorelai quickly informed her that she was being brainwashed, and then Sookie started planning her own wedding. The one that she wanted. It was eleven o'clock in the morning on a Saturday, and instead of working at the diner, Lola was seated in between Michel and Rory, sitting across from Lorelai at the Independence Inn, and the four were listening to the god awful music that Sookie wanted to walk down the isle to.
Lorelai had had enough of the depressing music. She quickly switched it off. "Sookie, you've gotta be kidding."
"What?" Sookie asked innocently.
"You cannot walk down the aisle to that." Lola told her, siding with Lorelai.
"Why?"
"It's depressing." Lorelai started.
It's Ella." Sookie defended.
"It's morbid." Lorelai listed.
Sookie shook her head. "It's a classic song."
"A classic song with lyrics about a woman who can't make her relationship work, whose life is filled with emptiness and regret and pain." Lorelai rolled her eyes.
"Oh, who listens to the lyrics?" Sookie waved her hand, brushing it off.
"Anybody not hanging out with Annie Sullivan by the water pump."
"What are these?" Rory got up, grabbing another case full of CD's.
"Oh, those are some alternative songs, but I really like this one the best." Sookie turned to Rory as she looked through the other song choices.
"Alternative songs, good. Let's see." Lorelai got up to help Rory look, and immediately sighed in annoyance. "Hey Jude." She said, looking at Sookie in a way that said "really?"
"Paul wrote it for Julian to cheer him up." Sookie smiled.
"Seasons in the Sun?" Lorelai scoffed.
"Oh, a sentimental favorite."
"Cat's in the Cradle?" Lorelai gasped.
