LOLA WAS BEGINNING to get anxious as she waited in front of Jude's house before he got home. What if he broke up with her? Lola was never one to talk about her feelings, or explain what she was feeling, so instead she wrote Jude a letter. She wrote about the car crash and how much she loved him and how Jess left and Jude would never have to see the Mariano boy again. Or so they thought.

Lola's nerves weren't helping her concentrate on all the possibilities of how Jude would react. Her heart stopped when Jude's dad's car pulled up in front of their house, and the two men got out. Jude looked at Lola with a smile on his face, surprised that she was waiting for him. Jude's dad went inside to let the two have their moment.

"Hey." He greeted her as he stepped out of the car, setting his bags down.

"Hey." She smiled softly.

He immediately noticed her arm. "What happened? What'd you do to your arm?" He exclaimed.

"Here." Lola handed him the long letter. It was at least three pages long.

"What is this?" Jude scoffed, taking the letter from her grasp.

"Just read it." Lola told him. She didn't have the heart to tell him.

"What - Lola, what's going on? Tell me how you hurt your arm." Jude demanded.

"It's all in the letter." She gestured to the papers.

"But -."

"Read." She said, and Jude turned to the letter, looking up and laughing after he read the first line of it.

"Well, I love you, too." He smiled.

Lola forced a smile. "Good - now just hold onto that feeling for a minute."

"Why?"

"Just - ." Lola gestured once more to the letter.

"Read, all right, I'm reading." Jude paused, a smile etched onto his face. The smile immediately dropped when he read the next line. "What?" He almost shouted.

When Jude got mad, he always threw a tantrum. He would act like a five year old if he didn't get his way, and he didn't understand that he needed to be more mature. He would always yell and stomp. It was never a pretty sight.

"Keep going." Lola winced.

"What?!" Jude exclaimed again.

"Turn it over."

"What!"

"Go on, you have like three more whats ahead of you." Lola said, biting her nails anxiously.

"It gets better at the end. I'll just stand here until you get there." Lola said, waiting for Jude to finish reading.

"Is he really gone?"
