Izara's POV

"Twice! Twice! Where is that fool? Twice!" I could hear Kurogiri shouting from across the way. I winced at the loud noise that bounced around the belly of the ship-- I never had enjoyed loud noises. Twice, the man Kurogiri was looking for, was nowhere to be seen. I had been sitting at his side for a while down where the prisoners were kept, but then he started yelling at himself and panicking. I decided it was best for me to remove myself from the situation and I hadn't seen him since.

"Are you looking for Twice, Mr. Kurogiri?" I asked quietly, tugging on Kurogiri's pant leg to indicate my presence.

"Ach!" Kurogiri exclaimed. "Oh it's just you, Abebe. Don't go around doing that to the captain, do you understand? He's so jumpy he might disintegrate your face as a reflex. Anyways, yes I was looking for Twice. Have you seen him?"

"I was with him when he was on guard duty earlier but he had a sort of panic attack I think. I haven't seen him since. Why do you need him?" I asked, prying for answers. By this point, Dahlia and Matteo should already be beginning the mutiny operation. Now it was my turn to come into play.

"The captain needs someone to keep an eye on Mateo, you know how much Captain doesn't trust him, but everyone is busy preparing for attack. I thought Twice might be free, but I suppose not. I really don't have time to be watching a kid who just stares blankly into the sea for hours," Kurogiri sighed, clearly not being paid enough for all of his duties on the ship.

"I can keep an eye on him, Mr. Kurogiri," I suggested.

"You? Abebe, I know that you have everyone else on the ship tricked on your age, but I do know that you are only eight... although you're diction suggests otherwise," Kurogiri pointed out. I quickly suppressed my frustration-- I did not like when things wouldn't go my way.

"But the captain made me a spy. I've been watching Mateo for weeks now and reporting back to Captain," I admitted, not sure whether or not Kurogiri had been informed of this.

"Spy? He has that little faith in the lad... crikey. Well it seems I am lacking options so you'll have to do. Don't do anything idiotic or your job on the ship won't be so cushy anymore, understood?" Kurogiri gave in and unknowingly played a huge role in the greatest mutiny in history.

"I know that, sir!" I smiled before disappearing into the shadows. I'm sure many were confused as to how I, a literal child slave on a ship filled with nasty pirates, was able to stay so positive all the time. Truth was, these people had nothing they could hold against me. I had been separated from my family years ago and never made strong connections with anyone else. My quirk was called "Unnoticed" and allowed for me to travel without making sound and easily identify the most undercover ways to travel. Even if someone wished to punish me, they most likely wouldn't ever be able to catch me. Once I drift back into the shadows, there's no finding me.

I swiftly moved up onto the deck and spotted Mateo leaving Mr. Compress by the wheel. I crept up to him, Mr. Compress completely oblivious to my presence, and grabbed him by the wrist. He let out a quick gasp, so I pulled him out of Mr. Compress' view and removed my hood, revealing that I was a friend.

"Oh my gosh, kid, you can't go scaring people like that! You about gave me a heart attack!" Mateo whispered harshly as he caught his breath from the shock. "What are you doing up here? Aren't you supposed to be with Twice? They're going to be suspicious if they see you!"

"They won't see me, I promise. Anyways, I convinced Mr. Kurogiri to let me watch over you instead of Twice, so I believe you should be thanking me and not scolding me," I rolled my eyes and let out a heavy exhale.

"Geez, kid, get your head out of the dictionaries. I don't know how you gain the adults' complete trust so easily, but I'm not trying to find out. To be frank, I'm slightly terrified that you have the ability to end my life in a second, so I'll just take your word," Mateo admitted, earning a shy smile from me. "Anyways, let me update you on how things stand. Both the Bakuhatsu and Justicia should be in our line of vision any minute now. I've directed Mr. Compress exactly to where their ships are anchored; however, what he doesn't know is that we could have easily snuck up on them and launched a surprise attack. I purposefully had him steer us in a direction that allows for their lookouts to have a clear view of us before we arrive. From what I can tell, they have spotted us and are choosing not to flea-- which is good news for us. Dahlia is working with what Tomura is calling a "Nomu" right now," Mateo pointed across the ship at Dahlia who was standing in the shadow of a massive, bird-like monster that gave me the chills just by looking at it.
