Bakugo's POV
What happened between the time (Y/n) died and when we made it back to the ship is a mystery to me. Kirishima told me that some man called "Mr. Compress" had trapped me in a marble and Kirishima and Todoroki had to fight him to get me back. Tomura, apparently, had nothing to do with the fight which had moved away from (Y/n)'s body. I didn't talk to anyone until I saw an oddly familiar person standing on my ship.
"Who are you and what do you want?" I asked, getting straight to the point. I looked directly at a woman who was about my height. She wore a large black hat that sat on a sharp diagonal, with several white feathers sticking out of the lower end. Her long hair was deep brown and its curls fell against her black coat. Her coat was also adorned with white feathers, along with several additions of silver. She was clearly a captain, which was admirable especially since she was a woman (I had only ever seen one other female captain). What caught my attention most was a long scar running from her right eyebrow, across the bridge of her nose, and down onto her left cheek. It divided her two green eyes that held an everlasting intense glare.
"Hmm, I thought you might remember me, but I guess I do look quite a bit different from then," the captain sighed. I wasn't really in the mood to rack my brain over who she was and honestly just wanted to be alone; however, I chose to look at the ship next to us that had the name "Justicia" engraved on it. That's when things began to click. The woman standing in front of me was the infamous "Sea Queen", feared by all men, especially pirates. I had heard rumors about her in a couple different bars, all of the storytellers saying different things like "she feeds men to her pet alligators, whom are as white as the feathers in her hat" and "Even the sirens steer clear of her, for she is more enticing than them". I was never one to believe rumors until I saw the truth for myself, and now I was looking right at it. However, it wasn't just this that I began to recognize, it was some of the fine details in her facial structure. Her skin was the same (s/t) skin as (Y/n) and her voice sounded much like (Y/n)'s too.
"Valentina?" I asked, not quite believing it.
"Took you long enough. Turns out you were right, that buyer in Kingston did free those sold to him. He never told anyone his real name, but everyone called him All Might and he was a symbol of peace and hope to many. He saved and trained every member of my crew, but this is of no importance-- I have come to take my sister. I see you're done with your little squabble with the League, so where is she," Valentina asked with an annoying arrogance in her tone. My heart burned hearing Valentina ask where (Y/n) was. She implied that she knew what was happening with the League and just stood back and watched.
"You ignorant wench..." I mumbled angrily to myself, so no one could hear.
"Pardon?" She asked, stepping closer to me.
"I said 'You ignorant wench'!" I began to shout. "You knew! You knew their intentions and you didn't even come to help!" I could barely hold back the tears in my eyes.
"I was just passing by as they began to depart, so watch your tongue."
"You're telling me that you couldn't have gone any faster?! You didn't feel any sense of urgency?! You want to know where (Y/n) is?! She's dead! She's dead and I hope that you know that you could've done something about it!" I shouted, explosions rumbling in my hands. I lunged forward to throw so miserable punches at Valentina, but Kirishima grabbed me from behind and pulled me back.
"Bakugo! Have a little compassion! (Y/n) wouldn't have wanted this!" Kirishima shouted, throwing me down onto my knees. I sat on the ground staring at my hands. I couldn't help but think back to the explosions (Y/n) had fought Tomura with moments before I had to call her name and distract her... moments before she died because of me.
