Bakugo's POV

"You did what?!" Kirishima exclaimed after I told him why (Y/n) was gone.

"I did what I had to do," I grunted, not really wanting to talk at the moment.

"Did you ever even consult anyone about your decision? Personnel falls mostly under my jurisdiction and (Y/n) was part of our crew. Do you understand what you've done? Not only have you probably broken her trust, but also the rest of the crew's. You rescued her and took her into your crew just like you did us, she's no different. How are we supposed to believe that you won't just send one of us off without asking? I truly can't express my disappointment in you right now, Katsuki. Honestly, I don't even want to look at you right now," Kirishima said through clenched teeth. His words paralyzed my body with pain-- I knew he'd be upset, but I never expected him to be this serious. He turned away from me and left. As he was leaving, Mina appeared with a puzzled expression. She was walking towards me, but Kirishima just grabbed her shoulder and turned her around.

I stood isolated in the middle of my own ship for a bit before going back to my quarters. My decision was driving me mad, but what got to me more was the fact that the only person I could talk to about things like this had sailed away. My own crew wouldn't talk to me. I just felt so lost and lacking guidance. I didn't get to see my parents very often before they died, but they made sure that taught me one thing-- trust is the basis of everything. If I had lost everyone's trust, than I had lost everything.

I dramatically flopped face first onto my bed and felt a sudden pain in my thigh. I flipped over and sat up to check it out. It was then I noticed there was something in my coat pocket. Sliding my hand into the pocket, I pulled out a golden locket. My breath hitched as I realized I might never have the opportunity to return the necklace to (Y/n). I opened the locket and traced over the small painting inside it, specifically the outline of young (Y/n). I brought the locket to my heart and squeezed it tight, before clasping it around my own neck. I vowed that I would return the necklace to her if it was the last thing I did.

(Y/n)'s POV

Valentina directed me to my quarters. It was quite different from my room on the Bakuhatsu and honestly reminded me a lot of my bedroom back in Maracaibo. In the middle of the room was a canopy bed and bedside tables on each side. There was no desk, but a large wardrobe, folding screen, several mirrors, and a vanity. I appreciated the hospitality and the fact that I was getting my own room, but I preferred my room on the Bakuhatsu much more-- it felt like home... real home.

"I tried to make it to your liking. Take all the time you need, I know you've been through a lot. There's some dresses in your wardrobe that I'm sure you're dying to get back into. If you feel up to it, my crew would love to meet you at lunch today."

"Lunch?" I asked, knowing I had heard the English term, but not recognizing it. It wasn't one we typically used back at home, even though my father enforced our use of the English language.

"Oh, right, um el almuerzo... la comida," Valentina reiterated in more familiar terms. "No pressure, just thought I'd extend the invitation," Valentina offered before heading for the door. I gave her a soft smile and nodded my head in agreement. She returned my smile before leaving and shutting the door behind her. I sat down at my vanity and looked at the attached mirror. I looked into my (e/c) eyes, but they didn't feel like mine at all. I felt as if I lost a part of me when I left the Bakuhatsu. That was when I realized I physically did leave something there-- my locket. I couldn't believe I was separated from it again, but at least this time I had Valentina with me. I walked over to my bed and fell back onto it, breathing deeply in and out in an attempt to clear my head. Bakugo means nothing to you, I repeated incessantly in my head.
