Bakugo's POV
"Let her go, Lisander!" I wailed, anger boiling inside of me.
"Or what? What power do you hold above me? Take one shot at me and I'll shoot her. Unlike you, or Tomura apparently too, I don't want her alive. Killing her is my soul objective here," Lisander snickered, tightening his chokehold on (Y/n) and holding a gun to her head. (Y/n)'s face was turning blue and I could tell she couldn't hold on much longer. She had put her saber away when she moved for my shot and Lisander was being careful not to let her hands get near her belt.
"Put her down!" I cried, hot tears slipping out. "Please--" Just as a muttered that last plead, (Y/n) fell to the floor completely unconscious.
"There you go, happy?" Lisander taunted, kicking (Y/n) over towards me. I collapsed next to her and lifted her torso up.
"(Y/n)! (Y/n), say something!" I begged, tapping her cheeks gently with the hand that wasn't supporting her head. She was unresponsive but still breathing. Her breaths were short and irregular, so I knew she wasn't doing great but she was at least alive. I laid her back down on the ground, stood up, and made eye-contact with Valentina. She was frozen in shock of what had happened and was immediately attacked by a group of pirates. Everyone was still busy battling, so it was just Lisander and me standing alone. I stepped in front of (Y/n) and glared at her sorry excuse of a father, my teeth gritting together.
"I. Will. Kill you!" I screamed, launching a hail of explosions at the dreadful man. Lisander attempted to dodge, but the edge of his beard was slightly singed in the attack. He scoffed at me and shot at me with his pistol. I sent myself into the air with my quirk and sent blasts raining down. Lisander deflected a few with his longsword and the escaped my line of fire, waiting for me to land. As soon as I landed, I ran in with my cutlass, but was surprised to be grabbed by several royal soldiers from behind. They took Edgheshot's pistol and my cutlass off of me. I tried blasting them away, but my hands and feet were immediately covered by some weird metal things.
"What is this?!" I yelled, thrashing in the soldiers' grasp.
"Oh? Can't seem to use your quirk? You should really keep up with the times, Captain Bakugo. Those are Quirk-disablers that you have covering your hands and feet there. Pretty neat, huh?" Lisander bragged, sauntering over to move and lifting my chin up towards him. "Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Don't get me wrong, you die in both scenarios, but I'll at least give you a choice."
I looked at (Y/n) still knocked out on the ground and was angry with myself for being so useless. I had no option but to hear Lisander out.
"What do you want?" I grunted, refusing to look at the disgusting creature attempting to strike a deal with me.
"The hard way is you keep putting up a fight and I kill helpless (Y/n) over there right before your eyes, set fire to the Justicia and Bakuhatsu, and then take you back to Maracaibo for a public hanging," Lisander grinned, stepping away from me and "painting the picture". I snarled at his words and knew that I wouldn't accept any offer that put (Y/n) or innocent people in danger.
"And the easy way?" I asked, still not looking at Lisander.
"Oh? You're going to be receptive? I'm glad to hear it! The easy way is I bring you and (Y/n) back to Maracaibo where you will declare that you mind-controlled my precious daughter into working for you and then you will be hung for everyone, including (Y/n), to see. If you comply, I promise to let (Y/n) go free. Of course, she'll likely have some sort of monstrous outburst after your death and the people of Maracaibo will view her as a monster and want to kill her. Them hating her works in my favor and I will play the hero and send her off to some abandoned island to live out the rest of her life. What she does after leaving my waters is her business, but she her people will no longer respect her," Lisander explained and I was seething at the thought of destroying (Y/n)'s reputation... but it was better than her dying.
