Hope you enjoy!!💞

It started as an ordinary morning when Toni Topaz got ready for another boring day of work. "Good morning, Milo!" She greets her dog, his tail wagging excitedly.

"I hate leaving you all day after having you all weekend." She pouts, putting food into Milo's bowl.

"Alright, bud, I have to get going if I want to eat breakfast at the deli. Be a good boy, kay?" She said, leaning down to kiss his head.

Milo sat and watched as his owner gathered her stuff before leaving. Whenever Toni's gone, he'd eat his food and sit at the window until he sees the woman pulling up in the driveway again, which to him, takes ages.

Toni sighed as she parked her car and got out. She was about to enter the deli when she hears a little girl cry.

"Help my mommy, please!" She cries to Toni, pointing down the alley.  "What's wrong with mommy?" Toni's first instinct is to pick up the child, she was filthy, but Toni didn't care. She picked up the little girl, running her hands through her greasy ginger hair, "Hey, can you tell me where mommy is?" The brunette asked.

"O-over there!" She whimpered and pointed down the alley.

"Alright, can you tell me what's wrong?" Toni asked, walking down the alley.

"M-my mommy...s-she won't wake up." The small ginger said, whimpering between sentences.

When Toni turned the corner, her heart nearly broke into pieces. There laid a ginger, very pale, and not moving.

"Alright, alright, I'm going to help mommy, yeah?" Toni says, pulling out her phone and placing the young girl on the floor.

"Yes, I need an ambulance!" She says, checking for a pulse. She only finds a faint one, "Yes, she is breathing! I feel a very faint pulse." She says, gently wrapping her jacket around the little girl while the young redhead cried.

Toni looks around, "Uhm, in an alley. It's next to the 5-star deli, 2nd Street." She rambled. "Yes, please hurry, w-what should I do?" She asked, "She has a small child with her." She adds.

"Alright, I hear the sirens. Thank you so much." Toni says before hanging up. "Come here," Toni tells the little girl. She immediately enters the warm embrace of Toni, letting the woman warm her up.

"How old are you sweetie? What's your name?" Toni asks.

"Isabella B-Blossom. I'm 5 years old." She shivers, curling into the warmth of Toni's jacket. Before Toni could reply, the EMTs rushed down the alley with a stretcher.

"Mommy!" Isabella cried, trying to run towards her when she saw Cheryl open her eyes. "Hey, ms. Can you tell me your name?" One asked, flashing a light in her eyes. When Cheryl didn't reply, Toni asked Isabella.

"Hey, can you tell me mommy's name? They're going to help mommy, okay?" Toni reassured.

"C-Cheryl. Mommy's name is Cheryl!" Isabella told the EMT. He nods, putting Cheryl's name into the system.

"We are going to help you, ms." He tells her, as the woman picks her up and places her on the stretcher. Flashes of panic rush through Cheryl's eyes when she's conscious, "Isabella!" She groans out.

When the EMT came to pick up the child, She whimpered and rested her head on Toni's chest. "Please don't let them take me!" She shook her head.

"Hey, hey, I'll come with, yeah? I'm going to drive my car there, okay? Go with mommy, I promise that when you get there, so will I." Toni says, making a mental note to call her boss.
