College days

Toni and Cheryl are in college. They hardly see each other due to classes. Cheryl decides to surprise Toni in her dorm room. Just see what's happens.

No one's POV

Cheryl paced around her room, phone in her hand.

"Cher. I'm sure she still loves you. Just go surprise her. I mean, haven't you guys been texting each other?" Betty asked.

Cheryl had enough of not being able to see her girlfriend. But, she was stuck between her options.

A: Go see Toni

Or

B: Just face time her.

But Cheryl was craving some affection. And the only person who she allows to give her that is her girlfriend.

"Your right. I'll go see her right now! Thanks, Betts! Bye!" Cheryl hung up before Betty could reply.

Cheryl slipped on her slippers, grabbing one of Toni's sweaters.

Even though Toni's dorm was right down the hall, Cheryl still loves to wear Toni's clothes.

Toni. She was studying with her lab partner, Gweneth.

"I don't know. Maybe we should try it the other way." Gweneth said.

Toni nodded agreeing with her. 3 soft knocks we're heard.

"I wasn't expecting anybody." Toni furrowed her brows. She placed her books to the side, going to open the door.

Toni's eyes lit up as she saw who it was.

"Hey baby! What's up?" Toni asked. Cheryl smiled.

"Nothing. I just... Missed you." Cheryl blushed.

Toni opened the door, letting her in.

"I was just studying." Toni smiled, pointing to Gweneth.

"Hi. I'm Gweneth. You must be Cheryl! Toni talks about you all the time." She smiled politely, shaking Cheryl's hand.

"All good things I hope." Cheryl said through grated teeth.

Gweneth awkwardly took her hand away, looking down at her notebook.

"Cher. Be kind, we were just studying, There is nothing to worry about." Toni said.

Cheryl sighed. "I'm sorry Gwendolyn." Cheryl apologized.

"Its uh, Gweneth. And I accept." Gweneth smiled.

Cheryl nodded. She turned to look at Toni.

"Babe! I haven't seen you all week." Cheryl sighed.

"Gweneth. Could go give us a minute?" Toni asked.

The girl nodded. Toni and Cheryl walked into the bathroom.

"Babe. I know, We've both been busy. I have a lot of work to do now. And then I have to finish my photography project." Toni explained. Cheryl nodded understandably.

"Maybe we should take a break." Cheryl mumble. Toni furrowed her brows.

"What!? W-Why would we do that?" Toni asked as she grabbed Cheryl's hands.

"B-Because, we've been so busy. I think if we take a break we'd have nothing to worry about." Cheryl explained as tears rolled out of her eyes.

"C-Cher. W-We can make it work." Toni stammered in a pleading tone.

" It's fine." Cheryl said, kissing Toni softly. " It's not for long babe. I'll be waiting for you." Cheryl spoke softly.

"I'll be waiting for you too." Toni said. "I Love You." Toni said softly.

"I love you too." Cheryl sighed. Cheryl pulled her into a hug.

They hugged as they swayed back and forth to no music.

Soon Cheryl pulled away. "If you need anything. I'm right down the hall." Cheryl said as she kissed Toni's forehead.

"Yeah. Okay." Toni nodded, wiping her tears.

They slowly walked out. Gweneth looked between the two girls, sensing the tension.

Cheryl walked out with a silent wave. Toni went to sit back in the bed.

That was the last time they saw each other.

2 weeks later...

Toni's schedule was free now. Same as Cheryl's.

The last time they saw each other they had taken a break.

Toni went to the nearest flower shop.

"Can I please have all red roses?" Toni asked.

"Mhm. Total is $50.23." The receptionist said.

Toni nodded, handing her the exact amount. They were real roses.

The lady handed Toni the two dozen roses. Toni walked out with a cheery smile. She was about to get her girl back.

Cheryl opened the door as she heard a knock.

She smiled brightly once she realized who it was.

"I'm here to get my girlfriend back." Toni smiled.

Cheryl rolled her eyes. She instantly brought Toni into a bone-crushing kiss.

She closed the door with her foot as she did so.  Once she pulled away, She looked into her favorite pair of eyes.

"Next time we are definitely going to make it work. That was the worst 2 weeks I've ever had. And believe me, I've had the worst." Cheryl said.

Toni chuckled. "Yes ma'am." she smiled as Cheryl pulled her into another kiss.
