Fostering Three pt2

3 months later

Cheryl carried a sleeping Lucas into the house where she found Norah asleep on the couch, cuddled into Toni.

"Aww," She cooed before making her way upstairs. She laid Lucas down in his race car bed, shut off the lights, and closed the door halfway. She knocked on Aiden's door, "Come in!" He says.

Cheryl opened the door and smiled, "Hey, buddy. What're you up to?" She sat on his bed.

"I'm reading about birds." He shows Cheryl the book. It's the one she brought for him, "Cool! Learned something new?" The redhead smiled.

"Well, I knew most of this anyway, so not really." He giggled. Cheryl ruffled his hair before standing up. "How was school?" She asked, making her way to the door.

"It was good." He nodded. "Good." Cheryl smiled.

She closed his door before making her way downstairs where her wife and Norah were still asleep. She took a picture and saved it as her lock screen.

Norah stirred causing Toni to fall off the couch. Cheryl laughed and Toni looked up at her wife with a huff. "Thank god I got a picture," She mumbled, going to help the brunette up.

Cheryl entered the kitchen, Toni not too far behind her, "Norah's birthday is next week," Toni says. She already celebrated her birthday the day before.

"Yep, 2 more days." Cheryl sighed, "I don't know what to get her." She adds. "Yeah, shopping for teenagers can be hard," Toni chuckled, drinking water.

"Toni..." Cheryl pondered and her wife looked over at her, "Do you ever...think about adopting them?" She asked.

"All the time," Toni nods, "I mean, I'm too attached to let them go ya know?" She sighed. Cheryl nodded in understanding.

"So let's do it. That could be a gift to all of them. Let's adopt them." Cheryl smiled.

"I don't oppose the idea," Toni smirked, leaning forward to kiss her wife. Immediately, Cheryl called the agency to tell them the news, and they were excited when they heard. The woman told Cheryl how they were in the foster system for 7 years, and the couple was nearly moved to tears because they get to help them, give them a family.

Norah finally woke up from her nap, looking around for Toni. When she heard the brunette laughing, she entered the kitchen with a yawn. "Hey, hun. Sleep well?" Cheryl smiled at her.

"Mhm." She nods, rubbing her eyes. "Where're the boys?" She asked.

"Aunt V took them and Joshie to the park. We didn't want to wake you so we let you rest. You look exhausted." Toni said.

"Schoolwork. I was up all night trying to finish my English essay." She sighed, sitting at the counter. "Alright, well, at least it's done. So get some rest tonight, kay?" Cheryl kissed her hair.

"Okay, " She nods. "So, your birthday is in two days," Toni smirked.

"Ugh, I'm already worn out by your birthday dinner." The brunette chuckled. "Come on, Rah, you only turn 16 once. Any idea on what you want to do?" Cheryl asked.

"Well, the last birthday party I had was a week before my parents passed away so...yeah, no party." She says.

"Alright. No party. So no other idea?" Toni asked.

"Uhm, I would love to just spend the day with you two and the boys. That'll be good." She nodded.

"Family day it is." Cheryl smiled. Norah nodded, resting her head in her hand.
