"Still waiting for red?" Jughead chuckled as he leaned against Cheryl's locker. "Yeah...you didn't hear anything, did you? Every time I would ask Veronica, Betty, even Kevin how Cheryl is and they just tell me she buzz off." The brunette sighs.

"Well, you did go away the whole summer, so you missed a lot..." Jughead shrugged.

"What do you mean?" Toni raised her eyebrow. But before Jughead could answer, the school doors opened, and walked in was Cheryl and her brother, Jason. The red-haired twins had on fresh and neatly ironed clothes and Cheryl's hair was down as she held her head high with much confidence.

Her green eyes locked with Toni's brown ones and Toni could've sworn her knees would give out. Jughead smirked, "That." He chuckled.

"Cheryl glowed up." He sighed, "I can see that..." Toni bite her lip.

Jason nodded at Cheryl as he parted to his locker and Cheryl sent him a smirk before approaching her locker and she rolled her eyes.

"Well, well, well, color me shocked." She crossed her arms. "Sup, Blossom." Jughead nodded.

"Jones." Cheryl gave him a small smile and the boy dismissed himself, something about Betty needing help.

Cheryl looked, Toni up and down and the brunette couldn't help but blush as she cleared her throat, "Uhm-" She squealed, "Y-You look amazing..." She says.

"Thanks. I lost the glasses and braces, you know, the ones you used to bully me about?" Cheryl teased. Toni looked down in shame and Cheryl sighed, "I don't have the time so if you'll excuse me." She nodded towards her locker.

"Oh-oh yeah...sorry." Toni scratches the back of her neck nervously. She doesn't know why she was nervous, but Cheryl's presence made her sweat.

"You know, Topaz. It was a good summer not having you around." Cheryl says and Toni's heart dropped, "Wasn't anyone to pester me." The redhead adds.

Toni swallows thickly, "I-I..."

"It's fine, Toni...because your pestering motivated me and made my confidence boost...so in some weird way, thank you," Cheryl smirked.

"Uhm...you're welcome?" Toni raised her eyebrow. The bell rings and the brunette lets out the breath she was holding, "I gotta go. Uhm, bye." The brunette rushes off.

Cheryl shook her head with a giggle, "My taste in girls is weird." She sighed and shut her locker, heading off the class.

"Toni, you did make her high school days living hell." Jason rolled his eyes as the brunette sat beside him in biology.

"And now that she glowed up, you're all over her? Leave her alone, please." The Blossom twin whispered, going back to his note-taking.

Toni sighed, "I'm going to admit something...but you have to keep your mouth shut."

Jason eyed her before nodding. Toni leaned forward and whispered in his ear and Jason chuckled, "Bullshit." He said.
