Cheryl's POV

"Cher..." I heard Toni groan softly as she tossed in turned in bed. "I'm coming, my love. Just a second." I called back as I grabbed the thermometer from the cupboard in the bathroom.

"Alright, baby. Let me check your temperature." I whispered once I got over to her. Toni shook her head and pouted, refusing to let me test it. "I can't help you if I don't know your temperature, bub," I told her.

Toni sighed then opened her mouth so I could put the thermometer there. I clicked start before putting it in and Toni closed her mouth and watched as the numbers went up.

When it beeped, took it out of her mouth and frowned, "You have a fever, baby." I tell her.

"Give me a second, I have just the home remedies we need," I say, pulling the covers off of her since she was so warm. "Please hurry back, my tummy hurts." She pouts.

"I will, baby. I'll only be gone for 6 minutes tops." I say before leaving the room. I get downstairs and make Toni some soup. I then grab a water bottle and some medicine before going back upstairs to my baby.

Toni laid on her side and I placed the tray down before going over to change the temperature of the room, "One thing I know about fevers is that you need to stay cool." I tell her as I place the tray on her bedside table.

"I made you some soup, baby." I whisper, tucking her hair behind her ear, "Thank you, Cher." She smiled weakly. I nodded, leaning into kiss her nose. "I don't want you to get sick, Cher." Toni shook her head.

"Do you think I care about that?" I asked, spooning some soup for the brunette who was now sitting up against the headboard. Toni let out a chuckle before coughing.

"Here, eat up." I pouted, holding the spoon out to her. Toni accepted the spoons of soup I'd feed her. "Give it five minutes, then you can take some medication," I tell her before getting up.

"H-How come you know all of this?" She asked.

"I have a niece and nephew. Jason was never good at taking care of them so I would always do so." I chuckled, shaking my head at my hopeless brother. Jason is a single dad, well a widow, his wife died a year after the twins were born.

"Well, that's a good thing then." She chuckled. Once u gave Toni the medicine, she demanded cuddles, and who could say "no" to that face?

Toni's POV

I snuggled into my red-haired girlfriend and smiled while sighing contently. I felt so comfortable and safe in her arms.

Cheryl rubbed my stomach as she cuddled me, and it was the cutest thing seeing her take care of me. The medicine took a while to take effect, but when it did, I was out like a light. And I felt no pain.

~3 hours later~

Cheryl's POV (Sorry for the quick switch up)

While Toni was asleep, I did some light cleaning around the living room before relaxing against the couch. 

"Cher!" I heard Toni call and I sighed before getting up to tend to my clingy love. "I was just downstairs, bub. What's wrong?" I asked the brunette.

"I just want to cuddle." She pouted. Again, how can I say "no" to that face? I smiled and got into the bed with her. "I could never say no to that pouting face." I sighed, wrapping my arms around her.

She smiled and snuggled her face into the crook of my neck, "I told V to bring our work. So once you're up and better, we can study together, just the way you like." I chuckle.

"I only like studying because you give me a kiss each time I get the questions right." She giggled. I shook my head and squeezed her tighter, "Of course, I should've known." I say playfully.

"I love you, Cher." She whispered. I smiled, "I love you more."

"No, I love you more." She shot back and I rolled my eyes, "I love you more." I say.

Toni shook her head, "I love you more." She says as she sits up to look at me, I shook my head, "I love you more than Veronica loves her pearls." I smirk.

"I love you more than Jug loves his beanie." She shot back.

"I love you more than...than...ugh, okay, you win!" I huffed. "Yay!" Toni giggled excitedly and cuddled back into me.

"You're just the most cutest human on earth." I cooed and Toni shook her yawn while she yawned, "I'm the second. Because you're the first." She says.

I chuckled, making circles on her arm with my pointed finger, "Alright, bub, whatever you say." I sigh.

"Cher, I'm still not feeling well." I could hear the pout in her voice.

"I'll take care of you," I whispered.
