(Just so y'all won't be confused.. the flashbacks from Kay's povs were from the beginning of the series books, so if you did not start the series from book 1 you will not understand !! Ary's flashbacks are most recent, ones that led up to Ary's attempt)

Two days later-

Kay-

Just as I was getting ready to dose off the door had opened and Jd walked in.

"How he doing ?"

The same." I mumbled before looking at Trey

Everything happened so fast, one minute he was comforting me about Ary and the next, he's in critical condition slowly slipping away. The doctors think that he'll slip into a coma, but even if he didn't they said he could be paralyzed from the waist down.

Trey got shot on his way to the hospital to be with Ary, his ass took the east route and he got shot twice in his back and left side.

Being here for him and Ary was tiring and mentally draining, I haven't been to work all day nor have I seen Kash. He's been distant as hell in and out, and I feel like he's worried about himself or his family getting hurt which also worries me

Jd sighed before sitting beside me

"I know you told me to stay out of it but-

"Jd." I sighed

"Just listen.. Trey wasn't the only one who got shot that night, these dude Tyree and this 15 year old girl Lariyah did too, Tyree survived and Lariyah passed." He said and I furrowed my eyebrows

"15?" I asked in shock and he nodded

"It's been driving the city crazy all night, but you know what got me thinking ? Marcus." He said and I looked at him

"Don't say nothing, but Liyah talked to Marcus a few weeks ago, that nigga still alive and in hiding but for what though ? " he asked and I nodded

"If y'all would let me-

"No, thank you Jd but I don't want my nephew out here, bullets don't have eyes." I said and he sighed

"Go get some rest, I'll sit here with him." He said

"I'm fine." I told him

"You're tired, your eyes are puffy, red,
and your bags are big he said and I looked down

"So go, I'll sit with him." He said and I nodded before grabbing my purse

I kissed Trey's head before sighing

"I love you."

After I walked In the house it was definitely dead silent. I locked the door behind me before turning the security system back on and going upstairs

I checked on Ary and Liyah was knocked out in bed right next to her so I shut the door and went back into my my room.

The house was filthy and I needed to build up the energy to clean up, but instead I walked back In to Ary's room

"Liyah" I said causing her to wake up

"The kitchen is yours." I said and she sighed before rubbing her head.

Liyah got it hard this punishment, Kash was even tempted to send her to live with my dad for a while because he didn't wanna deal with it  anymore. I felt like him putting his hands on her was enough and She had gotten everything took away. The crazy thing is since the two had gotten passed their permit test they're six month wait for the drivers test is over next month. Me and kash had already settled on getting them both Mercedes but after what happened I didn't feel like Liyah was mature enough yet
