I sat down beside The lawyer before looking Kay, Brian, and Ari who was behind us and at my officer

"Nigga Can you loosen these now ?" I asked and he shook his head

"Nah you bad right ? You can handle it. He chuckled before walking off and I smacked my teeth

After a while of talking and explaining the case Mike's lawyer stood up before speaking

"Keshawn goes by the name of Kash because he illegally collects it, he has several of charges of aggravated assault and he assaulted my client leaving him with fractured ribs, a popped eye vein, and damage to the neck, Id like to bring you these pictures." She explained and the judge gave her permission before she came up.

The pictures got put up on the screen and it showed several of pictures from the incident along with hospital statements. They were bad and I didn't know I did that much fucking damage.

"Something like this doesn't just happen out of the blue, what led up to this?" The judge asked before looking at Donnell and he stood up

"Mike Smith had sexually assaulted his sixteen year old daughter, Aryhel Brown twice. She suffered from childhood trauma and when the secret had got out everything had gotten out of control." Donnell explained

"So you are admitting and pleading guilty of assault of Mike Smith ?" She asked me

"I do." I admitted and she looked at the man beside her before they spoke and flipped through papers

I looked over at Mike who had a guilty look on his face and he shook his head

After a minute of them talking Mike stood up before looking at us

"I can't even do that shit to my family, I won't go through with the charge." He spoke and I looked at him

"I understand that he was only protecting his daughter and I can't say that I wouldn't do the same for mine." He spoke and Kay rolled her eyes

"Regardless of if you press charges or not, under the federal law we are still required to sentence him for Aggravated assault and money laundering." She spoke and I furrowed my eyebrows

"That's not right, we're here from him getting a charge pressed on him and he's lifting the charge I don't understand ?" Donnell asked

"He's brought to our attention that his past charges are in fact valid, he broke the law what do you not understand about that ?" She asked and I sighed

"Due to charges being dropped we are lifting a few years off of your original sentence but your new sentence will require a total of 6 years and 4 days due to the proven fact of Attempted murder." She spoke and I everyone stood up

"Attempted fucking murder ?" Kay asked and everyone started arguing along with her

"Case dismissed thank you." She spoke before officers came over to me and I shook my head before looking at Kay and her eyes were watering up

"I'm sorry." I told her and she sighed

"Donnell do something, they can't arrest him for a charge that's not even being pressed ??" She told him before coming around and a officer went to grab her

He looked at Kay before shaking his head

"He's a criminal Kay, and this is where criminals belong, you couldn't understand that, but that you for the help." He told her and her eyes went wide
