Olivia
I followed Jason into a small office. There were lots of plaques on the walls and a shiny wooden desk sat in the middle of the room. He leaned up against the desk and used on of his legs to keep his balance.
"Come here." He asserted, gently taking both my hands into his and pulling me toward him.
I looked down at our hands and watched as his thumbs began to brush against my knuckles. My heart was beating so fast at this point that I swore I was starting to see stars. I glanced up at Jason and saw that he wore a deep frown on his face.
"You know how much I care about you, and that I'd never intentionally do anything to hurt you right?" He asked softly.
My eyes began to water as I nodded my head. I bit down on my bottom lip willing myself not to start balling. I had done so well up until this point.
"Liv, I don't want this to ruin everything we have going on right now." He stated, giving my hands a light squeeze. "I know you said you were okay, but I don't know. I'm sensing that you're not telling me how you really feel."
And with that the tears began to fall from my eyes. Dammit Olivia.
"Hey, don't cry sweetheart." Jason let out a sigh before pulling me all the way into his warm embrace. His arms wrapped tightly around my back as I rested my head on his chest. "I'm so sorry about all of this." He whispered stroking my hair.
"I-I just don't want you to end up leaving me." I whimpered, trying to wipe some of the tears away. "I know you're saying you won't but what if you change your mind if the baby's yours?"
Jason cupped my cheeks into his hands and shook his head. "You think I'd leave you to get back with Molly?" He asked, nearly chuckling. "Not in this lifetime or the next, do you understand me?"
"You wouldn't want to be a family with her if he did turn out to be your son?" I asked.
Jason shook his head once more. "Hell no!" He exclaimed. "I can't stand Molly and I'm 100% sure the feeling is mutual. I mean, she'd probably rather die than be with me again, she made that perfectly clear when we broke up." He laughed.
I smiled small, feeling a little bit better now that we had that all out in the open. "I don't understand what she hated so much about you but I'm glad I have you now."
Jason pressed a gentle kiss to the tip of my nose. "You're all I want, I mean that Liv."
"You promise?"
Jason wiped my tears gently with the base of his thumbs. "Promise."
"So we were both out here worried about the same thing for no reason." I laughed softly, wrapping my arms around his neck and burying my face in his neck.
" I thought you were gonna leave me and you thought I was going to leave you." He chuckled, shaking his head. "We should know each other a little better by now."
"I know." I whispered, running my fingers through his silky brown hair.
"Maybe we need a nice date night to remind each other?" He hummed pulling me to where I was facing him, tilting his head to the side.
"I'd like that a lot." I grinned cheekily.
"I'll have something planned for tomorrow night when I'm off."
"Whatever it is, I'm already excited."
"Alright, I better get back out there and finish eating before we get--Damn." He sulked as another emergency alarm went off for a structure fire.
