What Happened? [COMPLETE]

Chapter 8: Happiness

As I walk home I can't help but wonder what happened to their parents. I looked at them and just couldn't ignore the fact that they were all starving and that they were in the forest, left to die perhaps. The 2nd Chorus Kid looks at me and smiles. I smile at him back and look away. I make it back home a open the door. I kneel down and put down the Chorus Kids inside. I close the door and then I see Partner. Partner looks at the Chorus Kids in confusion. I go to the bathroom and turn the water on. I let the bath fill with water as I go to gather the Chorus Kids. I look for them and eventually I find them in the living room looking at the static. I grabs all three of the Chorus Kids and enter the bathroom with them. I close the door and put down the kids. To me they all looked dirty and looked like they haven't taken a good bath in months. The kids went to the bathtub that is filled with warm water. They look at the tub in confusion. I took off their small bowties and then put them in the bathtub. As soon as I put them in the water I noticed how dirt they really were. They looked like a dark white color but as soon as I put them in the water they showed themselves to be fully white. I put them all in the water and took out the soap. I washed their faces and bodies the best I could and after an hour or so they looked clean. Heck, they even looked happy.. I left the bathroom and came back with a towel. One by one I picked them up and dried them. I wrapped them all up un the towel and went to my room. I put them all on my bed and looked for something that would fit them. I eventually found 3 small sweaters that I used to wear when I was a baby. I put the 3 sweaters on each of them. I picked them up again and walked to the kitchen. I looked in the pot that was on the stove and saw that there was still some Bird/Chicken in there. I took out 3 mini plates and I put the Bird/Chicken on them. I set down the food on the table and as soon as I did the Chorus Kids ran to the kitchen and started eating quickly as if they haven't eaten in months. They finished quickly and they all looked at me. They all came up to me and hugged me. I felt weird... I didn't know what I was exactly feeling. Was it happiness or something else... I wasn't exactly sure.

" Hey, why don't you guys play around for a bit? "

They all look at each other and start to head to the living room. I sighed and went to Partner who was also in the living room. I sat down on the couch and I put my head on his shoulder. I then hugged him tightly. He looked at me and smiled. I grabbed the nearest, comfiest blanket and wrapped it around me and Partner. The Chorus Kids sat on the floor watching static and we both started watching the static. I felt a warm feeling in my heart and then I realized what I was feeling. Happiness... I moved a closer to Partner and hugged him a bit tighter. We both looked at each other and then I take off the bandage around his mouth. He gives me a warm smile and looks at the static again. The Chorus Kids climb into the blanket and snuggle near us. After an hour or so the Chorus Kids fall asleep next to us both. Me and Partner looked at each other an  smiled. I felt warm inside and I saw him blush a bit. We both started to look at the  static again and watch it.
