What Happened? [COMPLETE]

Chapter 42: Confusion

I held the helmet tightly, feeling some of the blood go threw my fingers. It was fresh and it was fresh for a reason. I held the helmet up and started to wipe off the blood by using my shirt. I did love my shirt but I knew that I could just clean it off or just make a new one after I leave the city. That would take a long time but at this point I don't care. We are all making it out safely.. I started to dig deep into my thoughts and I couldn't get something out of my mind. I had just killed someone. Sure, they tried to kill me first but what made me think was that I had just walked away, feeling... Nothing really. Not happy, not sad, not anything. I stopped right there once I noticed this. Why didn't I feel anything. Why didn't I feel happy or sad or something.. Was there something wrong with me? No. Nothing is wrong.. Yet, it was. I tried to snap out of my though but I just couldn't. Why didn't I feel anything? It isn't supposed to be like this. It just isn't! I started to look around frantically and soon started to run into the small forest across the forest. As I ran, I felt the air hit my face.. I ran and ran until I tripped over a rock stuck in the ground. I hit the dirt ground and not even moments later I stood up. I looked around, soon standing back up. I kept looking around the place, wondering if someone or something is here. Soon I heard the sound of glass clanging together. I listened closely, wanting to follow the sound. The sound was coming from somewhere in the forest.It had to be deep into the forest since it did sound far away. I then heard the sound of glass shatter.. I ran over to where the noise was. I knew that I needed to stop following everything I heard but this had to be different. It just sounded different than any other noise. I kept on running until I made it near a cliff where grass was growing nicely. I walked a bit closer and saw a basket with some apples in it. I then saw Partner.. 

I felt surprised. What was he doing? I took a step closer and not even a minute later Parter looked over and smiled at me, soon running over. He hugged me tightly and with that I had to hug him back.  He then grabbed my hand and dragged me over to the cliff. Partner sat me down and pat my head. I was stuck in some sort of confusion. I could only wonder why he was acting so strange. The fact that he has never acted like this before made it weirder in my opinion. Soon enough he sat down next to me, looking happy. Again, I couldn't help but be confused on what he was doing but hey, at least I found him.. 

"So.. This is where you have been?"

Partner simply nods in joy. A smile and look over at the edge of the cliff. Though it was all grey skies and clouds, I could still make out a sun. It seemed to be setting meaning that well.. A sunset was happening. Usually it would look wonderful but becuase of the clouds and sky itself, it was just making the sky darker which is technically what the sunset does anyway. Me and Partner both sat there, watching the sky turn dark..
