What Happened? [COMPLETE]

Chapter 46: The Golden Gates

Who could it be.. That was the only thing on my mind. I went back to think about who might have been left in this empty abandoned town. However, I knew that not many of them would have survived so that was going to make things hard. As I continued to think I felt a cold breeze hit me, causing me to shiver. I looked around quickly but that didn't exactly change anything. It was simply the air doing it so why did I decide to look around.. I let out a sigh and continued walking. I kept on walking forward, ignoring everything until I heard something from a Chorus Kid..

"Hmm.. There is a lot of that red stuff you know."

It didn't take long for me to realize that the bean was talking about blood. I quickly took a glance at the floor and saw fresh and old blood splattered all around the concrete. Of course, it wasn't exactly all over the concrete but it was pretty much covering the whole floor. I shook my head a bit and tried to ignore it but of course, it was hard to.. I did have to try though and that is what I did. I let out a sigh, starting to feel bored. I kept on walking though. It never really mattered if I was tired or not, I just had to continue. Why would I stop to take a break when we are almost there. As I kept on walking I heard See say something..

"Hmm.. Is it just me or am I starting to see something ahead."

I looked back ahead and stopped right there. I could make out the figure of something similar like a large gate. 

"You see that Red Cheerleader?"

I nod at See.

"That means we are almost there Red. Just a couple more steps and we will be there."

I shrug and continue walking. As we made it closer to the Golden Gates, I started to notice the amount of blood up ahead.. It seemed to be all over the place like if someone dropped a big gallon of paint. It was splattered all over the place. It was just a whole mess from here on out. I let out a soft sigh and continued walking. Soon enough, we had made it to the Golden Gates and it didn't exactly live up to its name. I heard a gasp from Partner and I heard See say something to the Chorus kids. The gates walls where covered the old blood, black and red. It was all over the walls and same for the sidewalk. Blood dripping down onto the ground in large puddles but what made this worse was the amount of severed body parts, guts, and bodies around. Most of the bodies seemed to have been skinned alive. Most of the bodies seemed to have their chests wide open, letting the remaining organs and bodies rot. Body parts where scattered all over the place as well. Arms stuck on the wall, legs around the gate, and heads scattered around the place. Oh and how would I have forgotten the bones. Bones where just all around the edges of the wall. As I looked at all of this, I looked over to the others. See was covering the Chorus Kids eyes as he just stared with no reaction. Partner seemed to be sick at the sight of all. I don't exactly blame him though.. I mean, with a sight like this who wouldn't feel sick other than me and See. I looked back ahead and just stared at the whole mess. I didn't exactly feel anything.. Well, that doesn't matter now, does it? All I needed to do was open this gate and we would be let out of this crazy town...
