Chapter 42

***Tiana's POV***

Recap

We were all sitting in the living room waiting for Tamera to come back from asking Ryder if we could go to the mall. I knew it wasn't going to be easy because Ryder is just hard headed. They just got back together so he probably thinks he's going to lose her again, but I don't blame him for that part because he just wants to protect her and damn that boy is overprotective of his girl.

"What you thinking about?" Hunter said putting his hand on my leg

"Hm nothing" I said shoving him off

"Hey" he whispered putting his finger under my chin

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing"

"I know you're still upset about what happened and I said I'm sorry over 10 times. It was a mistake baby and I love you it won't happ-"

BANG BANG!!

*PRESENT*

Everything happened so fast Hunter was talking to me and the next thing you know gunshots went off. I don't know what came over me but I quickly picked up Daniel and held him close to my chest covering his head. I looked at Hunter in fear not knowing what to do because I had the baby in my hand and Ryder would kill us if anything happened to his son. Hunter took us to this bunker 10 minutes ago and he still hasn't return

Daniel was bawling his eyes out and I did everything I could do to keep him quiet because I didn't want anyone to hear that we were in here. Shanika was also sobbing softly and I couldn't blame her either because we were scared as hell and we don't know where Tamera is.

BANG BANG!!

The gunshots were getting close and I tried my best to cover Daniel's ears so he wouldn't hear anything. The door swung open and we screamed in fear but relaxed once I saw that it was one of Ryder's men, I saw Tamera and Hunter behind him and I jumped up and ran to her. I gave her a hug and asked if she was okay?

She nods her head and told me thank you for taking care of her baby and took him out of my grip

I'd do anything for that little munchkin

I went over to Hunter and gave him a hug

"Are you okay?" I asked concerned

"Yes, baby girl. Are you?"

"Not really but I will be"

"What's going on out there?" Tamera said

"I don't exactly know as yet but all I know is that it's Mia out there and some of Hayden's men" Hunter said grinding his jaw

"Mia?" I asked confused looking at Tamera and Shanika

"That bitch" Mera said under her breath and for some odd reason Shanika was really quiet about it but I shoved it off

I saw Hayden, Ryder and Leo running towards us and Hunter put me behind him stretching out his arm in a protective manner and I found that really sweet

Ryder went over to Tamera checking if she's okay. I don't know what's been going on with Shanika and Leo lately but they have been really distant and I knew one of them was hiding something but I'll ask about it later

"Okay listen up, until I know that Hayden is dead you girls are going to stay at one of the safe houses"

That?? I won't argue on

"What about you?" Tamera asked scared

"The boys and I have some stuff to sort out we'll be there by tonight"

***Tamera's POV***

We went upstairs to pack our stuff and when I got to my room there was a note on the bed. I rest Daniel down and opened it:

It's always the ones close to you who always betrays you. Be careful and watch your back Tamera I'm coming for you and Daniel very soon.

For some reasons this note made me really scared. I knew it wasn't a good idea to come back here, all I wanted to do was protect my son

"Princess" he said coming up to me and putting his hand on my hips. I still had the note in my hand so he saw and took it from me

"I told you to let me stay in The Bahamas. I knew it wasn't safe for him but you wouldn't listen" I whispered with tears running down my cheeks

He turned me around to face him and I saw a bunch of mixed emotions on his face anger, sadness, fear

"I won't let anything happen to you guys I promise baby no one will ever get the chance to hurt our son and I'll put a bullet in their head if they even think of it" he said bringing me to his chest

"How did they even know about us?" I asked putting my arms around him

***Unknown's POV***

"They're going to a safe house I'll text you the address"

"Good" Hayden said and hanged up

They have no idea what's coming to them.
