Chapter 30

Ryder's POV

It's been almost four weeks and Tamera is still in the hospital and has not woken up as yet. The doctor said that she's going to be okay and that she's supposed to wake up any day now which I'm really glad to hear and on the other hand her sister hasn't leave her side since she was admitted in the hospital . We've tried to get her to go home but that little girl is stubborn like her sister so we just decided to carry some clean clothes for her and let her take a shower here

''RYDER!!" Hunter shouted, running towards me

"What's wrong?" I asked grabbing for my gun

"It's Tamera, she's awake'' he panted

I didn't need to say anything else to him so I just rush to her room and stop once I was at her door. I really don't know why I was scared because I'm the most feared gang leader and I don't get scared so I took a deep breath and opened the door; the first thing my eyes laid on was my princess and she looked awful. Her skin was really pale and she had bags under eye and let me tell you something she looked like shit and that was the first thing that I had to said to her

"You look like shit" I blurted out and everyone chuckled including her mom so she flipped me off in response and I chuckled back

"Where's Latavia?" she asked, her voice breaking at the end

Shit I was not ready for that question. How am I going to tell her that one of her best friends got raped multiple times then was shot in the head by one of Hayden's men.

"Princess, Latavia was murdered by one of Hayden's men

"Oh my god" she whispered then took a sharp intake of breath

" I-I-I c-can't b-breath"

her heart monitor was getting louder and louder and she kept looking all around, trying to catch her breath

" Somebody call the doctor" I shouted

'' Everything is going to be okay baby, just breath" I said in a panic tone

"Sir I'm going to need you to step out for a bit"

"What? no, I'm not going anywhere" I shouted

"Ryder dear I think we should step out for a bit and let them do their job, Tamera is a fighter she's going to be okay" her mom said with tears running down her face and because of that I came out of the room.

Tamera POV

One of my best friends just died oh my god I still can't believe it and don't want to accept the fact that she's gone and is never coming back.

I've been awake for a good while now and no one has come to see me which I'm really glad for right now because I don't want to see anyone at the moment, not even my mom nor Ryder. I don't know whether or not Shanika or Tiana is okay because I haven't heard anything about them since I woke up and believe me you I'm starting to worry

"Princess?" I heard someone said from the door and I turned to see it was Ryder

"hey" I answered back with a sad smile

"How are you holding up?"

"Am okay I guess"

"Tamera I'm really sorry, we tried but we were too late" he said and for some reason I got mad at him right then and there

"Get out"

"prin-"

" I said to get the hell out now" I screamed at him, putting my hands over my face so he wouldn't see that I'm crying. I heard the door close and that's when I broke down in tears.

***3 Hours Later***

"Tamera baby get up" I heard someone say

"Mera baby"

"Mm what" I moaned out in annoyance and open my eyes, it was blurry at first but then when my eyes were adjust to the light I saw that it was Shanika and Tiana.

" Oh my god you guys are okay'' I jumped up and hugged them

"I thought you guys were dead" I whimpered

"It is isn't that easy to get rid of us girl" Tiana smirk and I just laughed

"Okay so the doctor said you could leave next week" Shanika said

"Ughhh that's so far" I groaned

"Oh, shut up"

"On the bright side your birthday is the other week" Tiana squealed

"Yeah but it's not going to be the same" I said with a tone
