"hey minho!"

the male turned away from his car after he heard someone call his name, and he smiled when he saw his friend. "hey chan," he called back, hugging the older male upon his arrival. minho leant back on his car slightly, looking up at the male. "is something up?" he asked with a tilted head.

chan shook his head. "nah, i just wanted to check on you, see how you were doing after... what happened with jisung..." the male trailed off a bit at the end, not really sure if minho would get angry, upset, or any other emotion that could make him lash out again. to be fair, they had all been drinking, so that could have been a big factor that played a part in the whole ordeal.

minho sighed, but still kept a small smile on his face. "i'm fine. i haven't really thought about it much after hyunjin and i... you know," he said with a slight flush to his cheeks, chan quickly waving his hand at minho.

"have you spoken to jisung?" chan asked him, almost certain he already knew what the answer was but asking nonetheless. he just didn't want the two males to fall out; after all, they had been friends longer than even he had known minho, and for them to let a girl get between them just didn't seem like an appropriate reason for the two of them to fall out, in chan's eyes at least.

minho shook his head slowly. "in all honesty, i don't want to talk to either of them," he said, taking a deep breath before continuing. "i think its for the best if we just... don't see each other like we used to." he sighed. honestly, the whole thing had made him feel a rollercoaster of emotions, between losing his best friend, his girlfriend, his dad, and now, he was slowly losing hyunjin. he couldn't stop the tears from brimming in his eyes at the thought.

that's when he felt a tight embrace around him; chan had pulling the male into him, comforting him as he rubbed circles on the younger's back. "it's okay if you wanna cry," he said in a quiet voice. "i'm here for you minho, and i'm not going anywhere." this made minho smile a little, as he pulled away to give chan a small "thank you".

the older male clapped his hands together with a wide grin. "well tonight we are going to drink away our sorrows! jeongin gave me the address to this house party being held by a friend of his, so we are going," chan announced, and he wasn't going to take no for an answer. he knew that minho needed to take his mind off of things, and what ever else could work as well as getting drunk at some random person's house and trying to find your way home again at night or just giving up and sleeping at the person's house. (damn that was too specific /////// )

minho decided to not argue, throwing his stuff in the back of his car and locking it again before walking with chan. he then quickly texted his mum, telling her he wouldn't be back until late, or he would stay with chan for the night, and slipped his phone into his pocket. it didn't take them long to get there, and the overwhelming music coming from the house was enough to get them excited.

the two boys found themselves heading straight for the drinks, taking a beer bottle each and drinking happily. "y'know, you should talk to some people here, find some new friends," chan shouted over the music to his friend. minho thought about it, but shook his head.

"nah, you and changbin disappoint me enough," he said, earning a slap from chan. they laughed together, before chan spotted jeongin, pushing through the crowd to reach him. minho also saw hyunjin standing next to him, with a strange look on his face.

but he wasn't looking at minho.
