minho's first lecture wasn't until the next day. it was about physical fitness or something, he didn't pay that much attention. he was instead staring down at the same boy he had left the day before.

hwang hyunjin.

he found the boy interesting. alluring, even. his blonde hair was tied in a little top knot, with some strands of hair resting at the sides of his face. minho thought he looked effortlessly hot, to the point where he would be much inclined to have sex with him, just so he could hold his hair between his fingers.

but whenever he thought about it, chaeyoung's face couldn't help but creep into his mind. it baffled him. he'd never really been in a serious relationship, so he wasn't used to rejection. he'd usually just screw them and leave them, no strings attached.

minho didn't notice that he had been staring directly at hyunjin throughout his thoughts until the taller boy turned around to face him, giving him a small wink. was he... flirting?

their lecturer called the end of the class, and the whole room packed up their things and made their ways out of the classroom.

except for hyunjin.

he waited at the door for minho to finally leave, following closely behind him. the older found it hard to ignore this, feeling as if his eyes were piercing right through him. his pace quickened, as did hyunjin's, and he abruptly turned a corner and stood aside, waiting for the younger to walk past him before grabbing his shirt and slamming him into the wall next to him.

"what do you want, hwang?" he said in a harsh tone, as if he was revisiting his high school years. the boy in front of him looked scared at first, but his mouth soon rose to a smirk.

"wow minho, you act so tough," he said, leaning towards the other to whisper into his ear. "but that's just an act, right?"

minho didn't let hyunjin say another word, throwing him down to the ground and kicking him in the stomach, making the younger hug himself tightly. he then brushed himself off and walked away, leaving hyunjin on the ground.

he dialed chaeyoung's number, as he had planned to, and held the phone to his ear.

"what is it now, minho?" she didn't sound too happy to speak to him.

"i was wondering if you wanted to grab lunch or something, my treat. we could even—"

"min, i'm sorry, but we are over. in fact, there is no more 'we'. it's just you and i. we are strangers to each other now, and there is nothing that can change that."

minho didn't say anything. in fact, he'd stopped walking altogether. had he really lost her?

"i'm sorry minho," was the last thing she said before hanging up the phone. it had only just really hit him, and it made him feel worthless. if he couldn't stop his girlfriend leaving, how could he stop his sister from leaving? his parents took every chance they could to get out of the house, so they had pretty much abandoned the two of them.

his world was falling apart around him.

and there was only one thing that could fix it.

or one person, that is.
