minho trudged unhappily back to his car, ready to drive home right there and then. just as he opened the door however, he spotted someone he didn't think he would see.
his mother.
he gulped, closing his car door and walking over to her slowly. "what are you doing here?" he asked in a hushed tone, not knowing exactly what to expect out of his mother.
she sighed with a small smile. "i thought you'd like to have lunch with me. your classes are over, right?" she tilted her head at him, her smile still showing. she was still dressed in her work attire, meaning she was only on a lunch break.
"sure," he mumbled, not really fussed about the ordeal. he knew it was rare that he would be eating out with either of his parents, but he didn't care. he would much rather be at home with his sister, watching a movie or something.
his mum ushered him into her car, both of them sitting in the back seat as she signalled for the driver to go. it was completely silent in the car as they drove, minho opting on staring out of the window so he wouldn't have to look at his mother.
he heard her sigh, clapping her hands together as she turned to her son. "so how are your studies going?" she asked him, to which he ignored. he could go to lunch with her, but that didn't mean he had to talk to her. a dismal sigh followed his silence, causing him to feel a little guilty, but he didn't let his wall down. he had no respect for his so called "parents".
they arrived at a high class restaurant and both mother and son got out of the car, walking into the building and being shown to their seats. they sat opposite each other, making it harder for minho to not look at his mother. she had her head tilted at him, waiting for him to actually pay attention to her.
the waitress came to take their orders. she was young, around minho's age, and he definitely noticed her shy nature at the site of his beauty (self centred bitch). he sent a wink her way when ordering, his flirty nature shining through. as soon as she left, his scowl reappeared and he pulled his phone from his pocket, still not looking at his mum.
"minho, you can't ignore me forever," she said, her voice spilling with desperation. "i'm your mother, and i will get a reply from you."
he rolled his eyes at her. "like how you ignore minjee?" he spat back, finally looking at her.
"minho, i—"
"cut the crap. you and dad think that by ignoring that she exists, it will be easier when she's gone. you'd rather be at work than spend what little time she has left with her." he stood up, pushing his chair back harshly. "you disgust me."
minho then stormed out of the restaurant, leaving him mother at the table, speechless.
