Chapter 8:

Drew stays silent while he leads me up to the top of the bleachers.
"So you know I'm studying engineering in college?"he asks and I nod.
"Well even though I am not supposed to I did a little private project by myself just for you."He states pulling wood looks like to be a launcher out of his pocket.
"Let me see."I demand I'm starting to get kind of excited.He hands me the device,instructing me to press the button.I do as I am told in a big purple lights the most beautiful thing I've ever seen pops up. "The beauty that is Jasmine!"
"Oh my God drew how long does it take you!"I asked completely astonished by the beauty in front of me.
"Six months and then some."he answers like it's no big deal.
I thank him into a big hug,"thank you so much Drew no one has ever did anything this nice for me." He hugs me back.
"Jasmine I know you and Goodly are together but I would love if you gave me try."I want to say yes but I'm scared.
"I don't know Drew , Eric we are together."I say.
"He doesn't treat you right he hit you and gives you bruises."He is obviously upset.
"What no he does not!"I lie.Drew wipes at the spot where the concealer is to reveal my bruise from Eric's temper.
"It's nothing it doesn't even hurt."I answer trying to defend Eric.
"It doesn't matter your a women and he is a man he should not do that."Drew says cupping my cheeks in his hand.He touch is somewhat comforting.
"Drew I'll go on a date with you."I say looking into his blue eyes.
"Really I know the perfect place!"I should feel guilty but in doing something for a friend that did something for me.
"Where?" I ask.
"My parents left me a boat and a cabin it's a long drive will you come for a few days."A boat trip sounds fun.
"Sure ,when?"I ask.
"Today."He says and I go into full panic mode.
"Today I don't have anything to wear for a boat trip today!"I panic and he chuckles.
"I'll take you shopping , obviously."He says.
"Ok then,ill be right back."I say.I need to call Eric and tell him.He answers after what seems like forever.
"Hey babe."He answers.
"Hey I got to tell something."I say not trying to waste anytime.
"Ok."He answers obviously confused .
"I'm going to boat trip with Drew for a few days."I say chewing the inside of my cheek.
"Why?"He asks,he is getting angry.
"He asked me to and I want to go."I answer.
"I'm going to tell you this Jasmine,we are done I'm so done with your such a.... ugh."He says and I jump.
"Ok."I say and hang up the phone,Immediately the tears start to fall.I turn around and walk back up the bleachers.Drew is on the phone,he doesn't look happy.
"Don't you ever talk about her like that,she is gorgeous,amazing,talented,funny and much more.You don't deserve her."He yells through the receiver.
"Well if you don't care then politely go the hell away,so she can be with someone that deserves her."He yells and hangs up.He looks up at me and hug me I cry into his chest.
"Let's get going Jazzy."He says turning off the beautiful display after I get a good picture of it.The drive to Forever 21 is short.I get seven pairs of shorts,eight tank tops,a new bathing suit,and two pairs of sandals.The total is $170.99, I thank Drew but he just nods.We get into his car and for some reason my hormones are all over the place staring at him,he's so perfect.
"Enjoying the view." Drew teases.
"Yea."I say and cross my legs to stop the pressure what the hell is wrong with me.Hopefully it doesn't last long because this is a long drive.
